ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Perez (Argentina) left because his wife was homesick.
At that stage JC was the only one we had that spoke Spanish.
We now have Caceres (Uruguay) & if we get Flores (Argentina ) that builds up the Spanish speaking contingent, which would lesson the effect of homesickness.
Not so silly really....

See your point. It would surely help him to adapt quicker. BTW, Caceres was born and raised in Liverpool, NSW. He's aussie. His background might be from Uruguay. The kid might not even speak spanish:unsure: .

Would take Smeltz but isn't he a Kiwi? Not sure how many foreign pozzies we can take (4?). If so, and we get Flores then that is about it. No harm in another striker.....especially one as good as Smeltz, we would grow to love him. :) Matty,Mile,Kwas,Danny, can all play in midfield too so don't see us having an abundance of strikers. With Danny not having a rest for a year or so and no preseason i can't see him getting much game time till mid season anyway.

We're allowed 5 visa spots, currently have two in Wee-Mac and Monty. Flores would make three. Smeltz would be four. Then a fifth spot... for Ambrosini? Or maybe they'll re-enter a new bid for Beckham... ;)

Pedj is now officially a smurf

definitely Pasfield over Reddy. he's worked under JC all this time and will have a cracking season for sure, and has most certainly earned his shot at 1st choice

Don't forget we need an extra visa for our African arrivals - Drogba or Roger Miller (might be nudging 60 by now - But how good would it be to see the hip swivel at Blue tongue - He'd be cheap!):piralaugh:

Lots of very good sources talking up the Reddy link.

Interesting feedback from 2 rusted on Mariners members last night while at ANZ. Both deferring membership if we signed him. On the grounds that the club will have totally departed from all of its core values.

In truth, knowing both of them, they will be there as always but I cant think of any potential/rumoured signing that has got loyal fans waiting to abuse the shit out of him from day 1.

He has to be up there with Sackwhack and that little Judas Holland as most loathed players by Mariners fans.

For me I'll support most players if they come to the Mariners but there are exceptions and you named 3 of them there.
Can't imagine Reddy getting anything but a whole heap of abuse every week from bay 16 if he does sign.

Patrick and Perez arrived same off-season

I remember hearing at the time that Patrick spoke Spanish...which I found interesting (since he spoke fluent English as well...I am a sad person)
