ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Scottish leagues are getting redrawn next year apparently. 1st division will have 24 teams, 2nd will have 18.

Article today was saying we would get 230k for him, you would hope plus clauses.

Also said Randers were interested in him for 1st choice.

1. Still leaves him in a league well below A-League standard
2. 1st choice alright - they drew 1-1 with the mighty Elgin City
3. Peanuts really

Personally, would rather they both stay and we win the comp (league) and have a realistic crack at the Foxtel post season cup.

New TV deal kicks in after that and should make the club more viable financially ( or less unviable)

Hopefully, vie can survive without the transfer income - not certain by any means

CENTRAL Coast Mariners say they won't entertain any offers for Mat Ryan or Tom Rogic that undervalue their star duo, as Danish club Randers become the latest to chase Ryan.
Though the respective moves of Rogic to Reading and Ryan to Derby have collapsed, other clubs are circling them with Randers having made an offer believed to be around $100,000.
But under FIFA rules, the Mariners will be due nearly twice that even if Ryan leaves when his contract expires at the end of the season. Clubs who sign players under 23 from another country must pay set compensation to the club that developed them.
The exact amount depends on the status of the club that signs a player, but after four years of developing Ryan the Mariners will be due a significant six-figure sum.
The Mariners were last night waiting to see whether Randers would lift their offer substantially enough, but general manager of football Lawrie McKinna said the club felt no obligation to sell any of their players.

"It's pretty simple, if any proposed deal isn't good enough then we won't sell," he said. "We want to win the league, and to do that we need to keep together the strongest possible squad. Of course if a serious offer comes in, then we would have to look at it, as just about any club would.
"But if something put forward isn't realistic then we don't have to entertain it as we'll get some level of training compensation anyway in Matty's case."
Rogic still has a third match to sit out through suspension, the young playmaker scheduled to return against Newcastle the weekend after next.
His agent, Andy Bernal, contacted The Daily Telegraph yesterday to clarify that former Socceroo Craig Moore had not advised Rogic about the move to Reading, although he confirmed other figures from Football Federation Australia had done so.
"They gave positives and negatives associated with the move, but it fizzled out before Craig in his role as FFA player mentor had a chance to speak to Tom," he added.

Hear bloody hear

Lets keep the side together, win the league (for the 3rd time) and then have a serious crack at the Foxtel post season cup.

Turnbull can scratch round behind the sofa to keep us going until new TV cash kicks in (which will help)

We might all love Tommy Rogic but not many others do - $100k from Reading? WTF? A trial with Celtic? They are not exactly queuing up to fight for him are they?

Rogic is a talent but at this stage he is a very rough diamond.
His workrate and fitness (and toughness) are not up to EPL standard yet.
After another 2 full seasons he will be much improved in all facets and will make a very very decent living out of Football in Europe.
Rojas looks a much better prospect atm but with two seasons under his belt Tommy could be our best export since Harry.

Fitzgerald coming back is a great pickup if news reports are true (today's SMH).

Was always class in NYL and was a shame we lost him to the diving cheating bandwagoning "Griffiths" in the 1st place.

Heh, I can't help but wonder if there's not a bit of confusion going on in the media now ;)
Just read on a Danish football site (bold.dk) that Rander actually bid 100.000 for both Rogic and Ryan - A bit optimistic if you ask me, but good on them for trying I suppose.
Apparently Rogic' agent has said that he isn't going to Denmark ;) even if he was, I would've thought FCK and FCN would've been better options for him if it HAD to be, although I think both Randers and SønderJyskE has a pretty decent history with Australian players.

Hmmm

Especially if we win the double Arnie will feel he's done all he can, and if he goes overseas I'd be happy for him (but not to another HAL team)

The question is - what to do after that?
Moss with assistant Zwaanswijk is one possible outcome.
Having such a stable coaching staff over the years it feels weird not having any idea of the future once Arnie inevitably moves on to bigger things
