ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Heard last night that Pellegrino was playing with Leichhardt Tigers.
Can anyone confirm if this is correct & is it a permanent move or a loan?

I think the most common usage is the most derogatory :)
Born in England - we were so poor we lived in a shoe box in middle of t'road - and ate faggots and scrag end of mutton.
That`s luxury lad! We had to eat gravel & were so poor we couldn`t afford middle names!!!

Sad it is we rarely get to say goodbye...

. quite a few realised maty's last game was maty's last game ... including maty

. although all the attention was on big pat (he had only managed to get from the half way to the corner when we left) ... maty was still working his way through the fans. everybody else was long gone

. maybe after 20 years of unbridled success abroad he can come back to replace jc ?

He's ensuring that he has a comfortable future but can probably kiss any further career development goodbye.

He won't be playing along side his good mates Maty and Tesco (and maybe the thin white Duke) in the Green & Gold

Yep - clearly more dollars than sense involved in a move to a club that stands a strong chance of being relegated. Unless he was going to Evergrande or Guizhou a move to the CSL strikes me as particularly dumb (and even then I'm not convinced he'd get a good workout at either of those sides).

I'm far happier with Ollie's rumoured move to the K-League, particularly if he lands at Pohang.

A view from of an ex-Eurosnob.

I think that the old days of automatic assumption of Asia being a crap career move are over. The sheer wealth over there suggests that there is plenty of talent in both squads and coaching staff. OK, some clubs may be as useful as a chocolate teapot, but others would be very good indeed. For example, would anyone say a move to Evergrande is a bad move?

Is sitting on the bench in the lower 'kick and run' leagues in the UK a better option? I've been to some of those, and I can tell you that some Asian competition would a million kilometres better in terms of technical and tactical ability.

Just because the clubs are a bit more hard to pronounce than 'United', 'City', etc. doesn't make the Asian clubs any less able.

I suspect the CSL is not the right place. K-League or J-League are fine, but while I think they're ahead of us, I suspect the CSL is not *that* big a step ahead.

Good for cash, not so much for development.

I'd be gutted if we lost Olly.

Really think his best years are about to start and he lights our team up when he comes on already. Had a great game in the GF on little game time before...
