ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Heh, I like reading between the lines as much as the next guy (or girl :D ) but... My wife tells me that Macca was interviewed on 2Go yesterday morning and, asked about the Matty Simon rumours, said that he knew nothing (... NOTHINK!) but that he'd been told that there'd be a presentation about something at 13.00... Once again he had no idea what about... He DID know that the club had been chatting to Matty...

Assuming that he was telling the truth about not knowing what that presentation was about (I'm guessing it was the water deal)... A couple of hours in the future... I'm also guessing that there isnt' a whole lot of likelihood that he knows much about Charlesworth's plans for the next couple of years ;)

Once that's said, I feel fairly good about the money thing for now, so I'm thinking that we're not going anywhere
Does that mean McBreens new nickname is "Shultz"....I Know Nothing......Nothing!!!!!

The Hyundai A-League (@ALeague) tweeted at 9:45 PM on Wed, May 15, 2013:
ALERT: Central Coast Mariners will make a player announcement at 10:30am tomorrow.

Apart from the Matty rumour - Hutch when talking about Patrick after the game mentioned how great it was that he was staying with the club. He then seemed to mention something about welcoming back Wilko. Can anyone ese confirm that I heard correctly.

Hutcho said something along the lines of it being good to see club legends staying with the club in various rolls and mentioned matty and Wilko as being club legends and doing similar when they return.

It almost seemed like he was saying Simon and Wilko would be back for next season... Just how I interpreted it

Matty always reminded me of a cattle dog, the way he used to chase the ball back and forth... and he never gave up. As a result, I call Dukey "Pup" because he has a lot of Simon's ticker and attitude.

Unfortunately I'm the only one on my wavelength so I get curious looks from family and friends when I start talking about Pup. Regardless, it's good to see the whole kennel back together, Simon, Pup and the Big Dog, McBreen. I'm sure part of Macca's brief will be to mentor the boys.

Yes he was released earlier this year and came home for some knee surgery, CCM have been helping him recover and believe he can return to his former glory!

I wonder what Kwasnik is thinking right now......
If Matty can get himself fit again, and be as tenacious as he always was alongside Duke and McBreen with a similar attititude, we will have a forward line to be reckoned with. I do think that Duke has a better strikers instinct though.

Regardless, another masterstroke from the little club that could. I just love the way we can work from the smell of an oily rag, sell off players and throw everything right back into the mixer for the next season.

CCMFC, cunning as the fox

Love the cattle dog and pup analogy......I used to refer to Matty as "the terrier"

Multiple times awesome news today.

except for this:
"There is also strong speculation that Pedj Bojic is on
his way to Sydney FC, with talk circulating that he has
requested a release from the final year of his contract
with the Mariners so he can move to the Sky Blues.
The right-back's work and family commitments outside
of training, including his own personal training and
fashion label, may lead him to spending more time in
Sydney regardless. "

Losing Ryan, Bojic, Sainsbury and Zwaanswijk would present a very interesting challenge to the skills of Arnie and Moss. If Wilko comes back will we also go for Clarky?

We all know fashion and football don't mix, very evident last night as Pedj was awful.

It will be a loss, but I always look forward to new beginnings.
