ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Definitely think Bouzanis would be worth going after - has some big game experience -

I'm with Dibo. Keep getting kids. They cost less. Then transfer for more coin. And it's exciting watching the development of new talents. I also think Pasfield is good enough and deserves his chance. Bouzanis would be coming here expecting to be first keeper and costing more coin. So I see him as less than an ideal signing. Spend the money on a high quality number ten, another forward, and a second Dutch CB I think.

Isn't Bouzanis famous for being an absolute bellend?

Based on views expressed on other forums, I think he would fail our no dickhead test easily

I'd rather get a kid.
As far as keepers go Bouzanis is a kid.

This season we have had a defence and keeper (whether Ryan or Pasfield) that we could be comfortable could do the job. I would like to be in the same position next season. Whether that means Bouzanis or another guy that JC has identified I don't know. I didn't rate Bouzanis when he was in Australia but the Oldham fans seem to think he has saved their bacon many times since he has been there.

I don't want to be in the position where our defence does not have confidence in the keeper coming in a la Trotty or Ben Kennedy in the early days at the Jets. If Maty goes and both Patrick and Sainsbury go then a strong second becomes more important.

Would be a waste of cash.
Plenty of good young keepers around to promote, and have been more impressed with justin this year than i used to be

I don't think that is the point. We need to have a good quality second keeper. Justin proved to be that last year. We have good quality cover everywhere else - why stint on the one position where any deficiency can have dire consequences. Bouzanis might not be the answer - it may be someone JC identifies as ready to step up as Maty did or it may be another HAL keeper. Personally I'd love Bouzanis to go to Heart and see Pasfield and Redders as our keepers.

I dont see Bouzanis as a step forward personally. Cant seem to hold down a gig anywhere. Was dropped despite playing most of the season this year i thought for another aussie who he had jumped ahead of.

Either means surely too expensive, or dickhead or both

Redders seems no1 at Heart right now and personally, I'm delighted for the bloke.

He should/would be no1 here but it wasnt to be sadly.

I trust the the club/Crawley have a plan

Assume we all read that Trent, Matty & Berrine where to stay for the ACL matches but in the article it say we do have an offer for Trent ... before it was there was interest ...

Sainsbury has been linked to Bolton and Southampton in recent weeks, with Bolton already tabling a deal worth $560,000 for his services.

Isn't that the one that SBS (Shock-horror)/Daily Mail reported, which was first refuted by our club and then later by Bolton as well, stating that they had just invited him for a training session at this point?

Yeah, fact-checking doesn't seem to be ripe in the sports media lately... Good thing too, that sort of bad habit is difficult to get rid of once it's become ingrained ;)
I think that offer was reported at least twice in the following couple of days, after it had been denied.

I believe journalists are getting paid somewhere around 20 cents per word these days. (dont quote me on the exact figure but I know it is shockingly low) It clearly has generated a plagiaristic research and copy culture.

So only a rich journo can afford to use the word antidisestablishmentarianism?
They must have loved Bas van den Brink!
