ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

just to divert the attention to the other matter at hand, mossies signing of a "south east asian midfielder" AKA a korean midfielder… Park Ji-Sung anyone? finished up with Man U 2 years ago, currently at PSV. 32, retired from international football. one of asia's finest ever midfielders, on par with ono

one can only dream

Kim Do-Heon from blue wings is another quality AM that might not have a contract for next K-league season, therefore available now. 31 years old

sorry if I'm highjacking the thread a little, I'm more interested in speculation of signings than concentrating on the carnage. promise ill stop now, i only know 2 korean AM's

It's interesting that the articles quotes Stadler say that the fan base was contacted and asked their views with regards to the move. Maybe so... and kudos if that is the case. Maybe he just read this forum and twitter and felt the the prevailing sentiment agreed with what they were going to do anyway, so it was convenient to say the fans are on board.

FWIW, I think the majority of fans dont begrudge Danny. Lucky for the Board as it takes some of the pressure off them. Throw in the fact they seemed to have got some $$$ for him then you can say job well done.

McBreen gave us his best ever season last year so the best of luck to him in trying to earn his dollars for his retirement. And he gave us a great goal as a farewell present. He will be missed, they all are, but we will continue on.
I am hoping that this effectively closes the door of the departure lounge - now lets open the arrivals door!

Between players injured, transferred or loaned out (and only one coming back) we're down to 16 18 available players for this week. I think it's unlikely Bosnar would clear for this weekend's squad let alone anyone else, so there's still plenty of goo for feasting yet.

Pasfield
McBreen
Rose
Seip
Anderson
Griffiths
Hutchinson
Montgomery
Duke
Flores
Fitzgerald
Reddy
Morton
McGlinchey
Roux
Sainsbury
Caceres
Neill
Simon
Ibini-Isei
Sterjovski
Slater
Kwasnik
Curran

EDIT - forgot Griffiths and Curran

MOTHERF*****! This better bloody be a result of some good signings about to be announced! The in between seasons window didn't feel as painful as this actual season+window!

. re-visting my comments on trent's performance on the weekend:

. i thought trent was below his usual high standard on the weekend (and as mentioned elsewhere was filthy with himself). my first thoughts were he is loyal to a fault ... playing badly with the transfer window closing

. then reality hit and i thought maybe 'someone' was watching ... but it was having the same effect. i had never seen him so ... ummm ... flustered?

. yet they wanted him anyway ... good luck young man

Interesting that Seip was added to the squad for this weekends game. Obviously the Trent move was imminent.
