ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Where are we in all of this? He is exactly the type of player we need, is loved by the fans and staff and rumours are that Moss has been told to go and get some players. I'd be very disappointed if we have not even asked the question

Have there been ANY rumours about ANYONE linked to CCM other than #23 from NSWPL seen at training? I'm worried..

We are exactly no where in this. Not in our price range apparently.

Obviously would love to see him here... Personally I just want to see him at the World Cup and this is probably more important to me than seeing him come here. He is just so exciting to watch and I want to believe that our national team has a world class x-factor in the making. That said, I want him here if possible, we need him, he is guaranteed game time and we (and WSW) are the only team confirmed for ACL meaning more games closer to world cup.

That said, if not to us then I would be happy to see him at Melbourne as he will play and will possibly get ACL as well. This move is all for world cup prep, so I fail to see why he would be interested in a multi year deal (smurfs).

Mitch Nichols to Cerezo is a done deal, with the medical to take place after this weekend's round. Would've thought that was to pave the way for Rogic to go to Melbourne, but apparently they're looking to bring in an unnamed Japanese playmaker. Intriguing.

Quite! Unexpected!

Rogic fits with us better than SFC (as he'll get to play as a proper 10) so for football reasons alone it makes more sense that he come to us. If MC is willing to make him the Aussie Marquee we might be in this ballgame after all!

Wouldn't it be just on loan? No marquee deal needed.

. can somebody with more knowledge than me please explain how a loan deal works?

. i get the loan bit ... but loans cost money ... do we simply pay the 'interest' on the loan? do we have to pick up the full salary? de we pay a fee? is this in addition to the salary?

. apparently we are making a (ridiculously) small amount from mikey's 'loan' ... but the circumstances are completely different ... guaranteed starting spot-going to a better league vs. barely makes the bench-but needs game time

. obviously celtic would be hoping for a bidding war but that simply rules us out. if the welfare of the player is a concern at all, we are the obvious choice :innocent:

Some clubs will negotiate a fee, but this is not compulsory. In terms of salary, it's up to the 2 clubs to agree who will pay what portion. We could theoretically pay anywhere between 1%-100% of his salary.

There must be an existing arragement in place between us and them... e.g. play "x" number of games for Celtic and CCM gets $???. I wonder whether terms and conditions like that can work in our favour, i.e. we say to Celtic, give us Tommy on loan and you can rip up that clause in his existing contract.
[\completely naive speculation]
