How come whenever any other clubs are successful they don't sell all their decent assets at the drop of a hat. I understand the model but it's so disappointing to watch us crash and burn so quickly. I really hope we aren't going down the path of 10 years ago again. It's so hard to explain to the casual fan why we are now crap when we were so good 6 months ago ?

Looks like our only hopes are a decent AFC Cup run at this point.

Again we were the better side. Max and Nizzy were superb. Farrell was good. Theo is a vast improvement over Wilson. That CB pairing is not good enough.
Doka looked ropey as hell so at this stage Roux is the better option. Torres was having a stinker and then the send off.
The Jackson hate is misplaced. I always vouched for Ben Cahn but i'm not sure what either can do with some of these new signings.

Define being the better side?

The constant press needs to stop, they all know we are doing it and are just countering us. This game in point, we ran around a lot and achieved nothing. MJ said his teams play on the front foot, all that means is giving the ball away way too easy. So many other teams keep possession 100% better than us and I don’t see us improving to their level under MJ. Can he change is the number one question.

After that game if we are to persist with the 4-2-3-1 I think there are some obvious changes needed. Torres will be out until 8th December so that makes that one easy. Theo holds up our attack too much and for me is an impact player. I think Paull needs time - probably a good player in there but for all the commentators frothing over him I worry about him all the time and probably needs a bit more defensive coaching.

I'd bring Windust on for Paull and shift Brain back to the left CB role, Di Pizio to start on the left and Doka in front of Storm on the right. Alou in front of DWH.

-----------Vuka--------------

Storm----Windust----Kaltak-----Faz

------------Nizz----Balard

Doka-----------Tulio--------------Di Pizio

----------------Alou------------

Subs, Warshawsky, Smith, Hall, Steele, Tapp, Theohaurus, Reec, Wenzell-Hall

The pre match interview with MJ talking about how he'd sat the players down and told some of them they were sub par and that they'd laid down the law reminded me of Mulvey. If we continue like this expect an exodus of experienced players in Jan.

We started the game well and had enough ball in good positions to take the lead in the first half - even though DWH and Torres weren't impacting the game at all. If I'm singling out any players tonight, I'm largely looking at DWH, Torres and Alou.

Niz, Max, Faz and Storm played great games. Shame to lose a game when you bossed the midfield for the lions share of the game. Would have included Kaltak too if he didn't miss the intercept for the goal and could have gotten himself a red if his wild swing had hit Taggart. Theo the next best. Couple of poor moments but several good ones. Tulio had some great moments but also looked off the pace to me - was not surprised to see him go down with cramp.

People blaming Jackson, what is it you think he's doing that he shouldn't be? Not a call out. Like to hear what you think you're seeing. But must be said he dropped Wilson and Doka. Which I thought was correct based on recent games. He also pulled DWH at half time, rightly so imo.

Pre season disruption, new coaches, player losses, and heavy schedule looking to have the best of us. Specifically it seems to be our lack of firepower. Dingo, Silvers and Beni are big losses. I also still don't think Paull is the answer yet. Windust, Hall and Paull are all of similar level really and still aspiring starters. Why we bought in a third developing CB is beyond me. What we needed was a VISA CB.
