ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I think we are in a good place compared to the last slide after winning the championship.
Our academy is the place to be for all aspiring players. Currently we have players trialling for the academy from all over Australia. So if we continue to attract, nurture and progress the best youth in Australia that will feed our a-league and selling mantra.
It is important our next coach understands the clubs philosophy and strategy and works within that. We can’t afford a coach that puts themselves first.
We have a lot more structure in the club outside of the direct coaching staff that can help maintain the standards and character needed within the a-league squad.
Interesting times ahead anyway you look at it

So Monty bailed to put the club first?

Seriously, I do agree with your post.

Following this Club is the best rollercoaster ride around. If your stomach cannot handle it, you picked the wrong ride.
Like a roller coaster, the win last season was so much better because of the steep descent before.
Highs are proportional to lows.

Fasten. your seat belts.
Agree and we just went over the peak so now we head towards our next rock bottom. I’m rusted on so ready for the torture to begin. This Club will never have a golden era of 4 to 5 years like other richer clubs have had. Get used to the one offs, best we can hope for is not waiting 10 years for glory again. I’m now worried Peil has had a good year and has high expectations when reality is going to be very different, kiss his average of 10k at a game away now.

Let's not start with pessimism. Monty has created an excellent system which - from a players perspective - meant the personnel were somewhat interchangeable.

In a perfect world the coaching and related systems could also be personnel neutral if everyone understands and sticks with the system.

A really good coach who does get the system would be a good start though.
