ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

This is good to hear....

http://sportal.com.au/Football-news-display/pim-stupid-danny-learned-his-lesson-43833
But Verbeek said he wouldn't view any lengthy suspension as a black mark on 22-year-old Vukovic, as long as he showed genuine remorse and learned from his mistake.

"If he was 30 years old I would say yes, but he is still a young guy. I've learned that he is a very professional player. He always wants to go maximum and he wants to win, which is of course very good. But there are limits between willing to win and behaviour. I think he will learn. I think he just had a very bad night," he said.

I just heard Danny got 15 months
this is from a source inside the club
but in no way 100% reliable as it is second hand

This fuss over Vuko's possible "life ban" is crap. From my seat in The Cove, I was wondering why Boogs was suddenly in goals (we thought it was hilarious). Didn't see the handball and didn't see Danny's "high five." What does this add to the discussion? Nothing -- I just thought it was funny seeing Boogs in goal. He should play there next season if things go awry for Danny!

I would love to sit a put together a dvd package of all the wrong decisions that the Mariners have had to put up with this year from referee's....

Everyone is saying Danny shouldn't have done it... but heck I have seen many players put there hand on the referee's this year and was suprised how they were able to get away with it.. I recall one incident with Muscat ...
yet danny slapped a hand... that is not something I would say would warrent a red card to start with...
I would say that Sheild was the over zelous one... not danny!....
If Danny gets more than 2 weeks, the fans should go and petition and march with plaquards,
All saying that it is unfair treatment!.....
heck I reckon we could show the bias

shit.......................... 15 months....... 6 months of ban is suspended..... ???
it's just come on fox

Yeah, 15 month suspended. 6 month of it suspended, which I'm guessing is for Olympic duties.
Terrible, terrible news for the club and for him, but it's possible his immediate international career won't suffer just yet.
I just hope he can impress!

It's all absolutely heart-breaking, I feel so gutted, and I can't imagine how Vuko must feel!  :'( :'(

Wouldn't appealing only make it worse if it doesn't work?
There's not a whole lot to appeal, obviously there was no consideration to previous efforts; I.E Muscat and Griffiths and it doesn't seem like a whole lot of look went to his Olyroos campaign.
He did the wrong thing, whether it's bullshit or not (which in my opinion it was, not even a red-card offence)

God I hope they appeal...............
I reckon that they need to put together a dvd showing examples of bias against Mariners and Danny..... showing how other teams and players do the exact same things and don't incure what our teams does....

Its not right.... its not fair.......... it's crucifiction

Wow.

Can't believe I read that, even from the most one-eyed CCM fan.

Sad for him to miss the Olympics most of all, but much of the reason for punishment is dettering others, and this will ensure that referees are properly taken care of now. No one will want to get near a referee in such a fashion.

It's truly a pity that this happens to one of the best young keepers in Australia while Griffith's nutcracker act gets an encore.

Poor show, FFA.
