ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Me too, ie. the season to start, and I didn't get an email either!! I presume the email contained the password to the CCMFC site to do your membership.

The reserved seating had to come for the Bay, and we will work with it to make things work better as a home end - but for the life of me I cannot see why the structure would not include concession, family, etc. I wonder if that was the work of those geniuses at FFA Events?

What we will end up with is a reserved Marinators Bay 16 for adults (or those with the cash), and non-reserved (GA) part Marinators bays in say 15, and 17!

For those agists who have posted - I know we are now in season 4, but in WQC  and season 1 the bulk of the 'marinators' type support in Bay 16 were several U18 teams. Some family groups have been among the near-core marinators.

The point of getting in now for your 'lifetime'  seat is a valid one though - which is why some went Gold earlier.

What do gold/silver/platinum/prawn sandwich members do when they want to bring friends?

Try to get them into 'casual' Gold in the bay, and then find enough seats not occupied once the game starts, or if stimied in that strategy - go sit (stand) in white with them.

yeah, i think you might be on the money there. i simply can't see the benefit of the no concessions bit. less under 18s and students wanting to be in there is certain, but I don't think i'd call it a benefit.

it's not like all the other home ends are ditching concessions either (see where i looked at the SFC setup here) - they clearly haven't seen it as necessary.

our memberships are cheap compared to season tickets overseas, but they're in the same ballpark as other sports here, which is what they're actually competing with (someone living in narara can't choose to instead attend every dundee united game).

comparing for arguments' sake with the season tickets at the parramatta eels you're looking at $145 for a GA season ticket for an adult or $85 for a concession. that's roughly $12 or $7 a pop.

for the swans it's steeper, it's $255 for adults or $155 for concessions (roughly $23 and $15 per match). even still, once you're conparing with bay 16 membership, it's in the same neighbourhood.

take the concessions out for students and under 18s and they're nothing like as cheap (or competitive) as they were, and nobody should imagine that that's not a large portion of our core support that we're hitting up for $70 (student) more than they'd otherwise pay.

telling them that it's the price for reserving a spot into the future is almost arrogant - as if they should have to fork out more to prove they're a serious supporter when people buying adult tickets don't. what's to stop uncommitted blowin adults taking bay membership?

it's this way for this year and it isn't going to change, but the club should heed the feedback. we're not their PR department, we're their members. if we (or even a significant number of us) are not happy about something we should be letting them know rather than spinning for them.

I'm a bit miffed that the 'thin yellow line' stops at Swansea though. I would have thought Warners Bay at least!

I think this is a good move by the Club. Time will tell.

It will guarantee that all the good Bay 16 effort being put in by the Marinators Club (streamers, banners, flags, etc) will be to the benefit of the hard core supporters, and the club as a whole.

Mr C, I think you will find the waves (remember ride the wave Eggy?) go strongly over Lake Macquarie.  Places like Swansea and Gladesville are just markers - how are they judging the 75KM for the special packages though? (Crow, Road, or who cares?)

What I find fascinating is the epicentre appears to be in Omni's front yard!

For those who don't want a reserved seat in Bay 16 you simply get a Blue membership and sit in Bay 16 in the seats that aren't reserved.  NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.  Just needs less emotion and more thought.

NOW FOR HEAPS OF MORE EMOTION

Whilst you are grumbling about reserved seating.  Have you noticed that you are being charged an administration FEE.  I THOUGHT I WAS SIGNING UP FOR A BANK ACCOUNT, not my MARINERS.

I'm paying close to $1000 for my family to support this team all year, and CCMFC think it's also OK TO CHARGE EVERY MEMBERSHIP TRANSACTION an administration fee of 4 dollars.  VERY VERY GREEDY.  :'( :'( :'(I'm paying membership,  you have my details, so what administration is there?  stamp, envelope, x 6 software does the rest.  I would have thought it was costed into my membership PLEASE don't take me for a fool.  :redcard: :redcard: :redcard:

I am disappointed.  4,000 members x $4 = $16,000 for doing what!  potentially.

No you don't Gen, because any Bay 16 seat not sold to a member will go on sale to the General Public, they can then purchase a seat there at an adult price.  ALL SEATS ARE RESERVED

If people who buy a GA ticket decide to wander in to bay 16 at their leisure I would hope security would tell them these are reserved and ask to see their ticket, even if they are not like they do for the top tiers!

A $4 transaction fee won't hurt too many pockets IMO, it's only the price of a milkshake, considering the membership IMO is pretty cheap for what your getting I have no issues with the $4

Great idea that I support. The chance to sit next to the same people for the next 30 years as we win championships will be fantastic. So it costs an extra $1 a week - deal with it.

Best comment in this thread so far, and 100% spot on

I would have thought the admin fee went to First Sports Tickets (www.ticketsxchange.com)rather than the Mariners, but I could be wrong?

i reckon within bay 16, since everyone is standing etc, people wont really enforce their reserved seat privledges and a lot of people will just drift around the bay as they will and as they have done for the last 3 seasons. the only thing that will change is that bay 16 will be segregated from GA, if it is rigid, that everyone sticks to the seats then singing and drumming in the bay will lack coordination and different groups will be competing with different chants

Adz, you are actually right.  I got it hot of the press.

Just paid membership for the tribe & I've asked for Claire, JD and Angus to be in the second back row of bay 16 so they can be mentored into the ways of all things yellow.    :piralaugh: :piralaugh: :piralaugh:

Good to catch up Ivan.  ;) ;)  Hope your day gets better Miles. :pirashoot: :pirashoot:

Whats the deal: If I am a member of bay 16 and stand in someone elses claimed seat will I be told to f -off?

I want to be in bay 16 but only if im in the middle to back section. If the bay does sell out and only members are in the bay will it come down to who is earliest their or claimed seats?

need clarification.

i received my leeter renew my membership as a blue child (Blue is the new white) and i wasn't happy. Last season it cost me only $45 to get a White child membership which was 4.50 a match not including 3 preseason games!  :vhappy: but now for 11 games it costs me $75 but thats not what i am angry about i am angry cause the marinators bay is not general admission anymore and it is ok if your an adult coz marinators is the same price for adults as general admission coz Marinators is now $190 and that means a child like me even though i am 2 years over the limit yet they are still offering me child mebership but i have to pay an extra $115 dollars and a student has to pay an extra $70 and concession have to pay an extra $30!
