Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

To be fair to Musc**t regarding the incident with Heff, he didn't appeal to the ref or linesman for anything. He just got up and got on with it. He only whinged when he realised Heff was carded and perhaps there was a chance of a penalty.

And I now channel all my hate toward Celeski. He's a little farking fairy who milks dozens of metres off every free kick or throw, and picks up and places the ball for freekicks seventeen times while 24003 people in the Dome and the 200 watching at home YAWN THEIR ASSES OFF. FARKKK

p.s - we chuckled at the marinators outsinging the tards at the dome too

I registered to reply to this. You are absolutely dreaming if you think a bunch of Marinators (admittedly nice people etc) are ever going to outsing one, let alone both, of our ends.

Foxsports has put the effects microphones in front of the away fans this season. We're not sure why, most likely because of the amount of swearing we put into our chants.

It's nice to dream but don't start pretending you guys will ever be in the league of MVFC supporters

No, we are not in your league, we take more away to Melb than you ever bring to CC

Well done for being right

Melbourne being the biggest draw-card in the A-League means we will always receive more guests than we send to the smaller clubs like CCM, Wellington, Newcastle and Perth. We travel massively to Adelaide and Sydney.

Don't forget for every away game we have to travel a minimum of 8 hours (as opposed to your jaunts up and down the F3 to Sydney and Newcastle). We pick the clubs we have rivalries with. Every club seems to want to travel to us to feel what it's like to have 25-30k at  a regular home game. Fair enough. With the new 31k stadium coming we'll become even more of a tourist attraction.

FWIW I was there end of 2007 and we easily had more than you guys had tonight.

I'm from Cooranbong initially (until 10 y.o.) so I have a soft spot in my heart for the Mariners but respect where its due mate. You guys have a great community club, we've got the best support in the league.

Eagerly awaiting the SERIOUS MATCH REVIEW for this match.

Given our defence's efforts in the final, the REVIEW should be thermonuclear (God knows I was, when I saw the way they let Hernandez dominate and Archie play havoc).

WOW this fan club is so disloyal to the players, I hope Heffs mum doesnt read this!  Last year you all loved Aloisi now you have a hate blog about him. Why so much hate in this forum?
Who could do a better job defending than Heff! I take my hat off to him, he comes back after a bad injury, plays a match while he is sick with the flu and he cant see out of one eye (considering the circumstances I thought he played well).  You all loved him when he was scoring goals and making the Mariners money when he went to Germany! Yeah maybe I am biased because he is my mate.

Saso seems to be getting the petty Gumps treatment from last year - grow up CCM.

Its sad that our best player is a 35yo who is treated like shit by the management but still shows he is superior to most of the "favourites" in the squad when given an opportunity.

Time for a clean out.

If CC management arent playing the better players they jeopardise the success of the team.

Lets hope any cleanout includes MCKINNA (I remember being told on this forum last year when questioning Gumprecht's treatment  that "no one person is bigger than the team")

Player review -

Danny: 7/10 - Got to every cross, was not at all at fault for any of the goals
I looked at the game (funny to see a game at 10 am) and I really think he's quiet reponsible on the free kick of Henandez.
I think your defense killed any hope for this game...even if Victory was really good (I discovered Allspop/thompson, classy players). But come on, nothing is done, you're still 4th, Wellington won't beat Adelaide. Keep hope guys  ;)

Its less about lack of hope for this season, its more a feeling of a lack of depth and quality in the squad to take us forward

Honestly? From what I saw on the tv coverage of the last couple of games a lot of players could defend better than Heff at the moment can do. But a lot of players could defend better than your defenders do.
You still recognize that Heff was out for a long time and still needs time to get back into shape. Of course, he had some good moments during these matches, but he can do a lot better.
But, isn't it easier to do better when the whole team, in this case especially the defense, does better and 'support' the players that are coming back?!

Regardless on the player who is discussed here, it is not fair to judge a players's performance on a couple of games played after coming back from a long lasting, serious injury.

It's not my purpose to defend Heff, he has been sh*t, but I think that one should differentiate when criticising players from what starting point they came from (being injured or being able to do the whole preparation stuff?)

just my opinion...

Not too sure if LM needs to go just yet. Obviously he has no idea what to do without Jedinak but theres not too much to pick from atm. Our lack of a midfield is just as worrying as our defence. A lack of recruitment regarding these issues and the continued benching of our only creative outlet should put his position into question.

I really don't think we deserve to make the finals anyway, our style of play doesn't warrant this achievement plus continued leaking of goals instills zero confidance in us making any impact apart from getting smashed in the first round of the finals.

We need major recruitment otherwise the acl could be extremely embarrassing!
