ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Wonder what happened to Charles aka "Batman"? Was great at arranging things at CCLC but not sure if he is still there....

Think he still works there.

CCLC aren't interested since they tried to transform the Kendall bar. They just don't like football.

It started getting pretty quiet in there pre-game, then they turned it into more of a chillout lounge than a pre-game pub when they put couches and stuff in, and had random emos singing, and that made sure it got killed off.

New home pub? The Gosford?

Could be worth at least checking out what the owners/management think about soccer hooligans? ;)
We tried the one with Pulse in it (Central Coast Hotel?) and it wasn't very popular.

It's a shame things went down hill, I'm not sure why the Kendall stopped being organised as a pre-game meeting point.
Charles was great, he put in a lot of effort to get things for the Marinators (as it was in those days).

The rest of them would rather have Rugby League on all the TVs, though.

Has always been a RL club ... even the name CC Leagues Club... they like the business we bring but deep down they want the CCBears ...

Have often wondered if enough football folk were to vote could the board be changed over time... but as time goes bye I can't see it ever happening...

you might be on to something middy . we'd certainly have the numbers
to move the club to a pro-football agenda.
some of the directors might get a bit nervous if there obscene salaries were threatened

CCLC directors turning around asking those around them "did you hear that? I could have sworn there was someone chanting Yellow Army just then"

Their obscene salaries of $0 each?

If I look at the annual report (http://www.cclc.com.au/ContentFiles/CentralCoastLeagues/Documents/Temp/CCLC 2012 Financials.pdf) it says on page 37 under item 20 (Remuneration of Directors) that the income paid or payable to each director is nil for 2010/11 and 2011/12.

Maybe the best way to engage with cclc would be to look at forming and official cclc mariners supporters club as an internal club there.

. charles was the one that picked me up on that ... technically it is a league of clubs - hence leagues club. not a rugby league club

. of course we have all experienced behaviour which, on the whole, indicates otherwise

Actions speak louder than words ... has been and still is at heart a RL club... only way in the short term it will change is if the board is changed ...

If I was planning anything .... I would get some young blokes [rules me out] on the Coast ready and when RL announces Perth, second Brisbane, second NZ team, Central Qld, Adelaide, before a CC Bears teams and if Cronulla and Manly can stay afloat and are not relocated up here, then will be the time to make the push ...

Marinators Club was an internal sub-club of the CCLC.
I'm not sure how well (if at all) it connected with the club.

I do remember a lot of trouble getting access to the members details - e.g. for someone to join the sub-club they need to join through the CCLC.
CCLC processed this list very infrequently so it was almost impossible to keep an up to date members list. Not sure if there were other issues...

This was a few years ago now so could be different now.
I wouldn't put money on it.

We're looking at reclaiming the kendall. I'm 90% sure this will happen but don't want to speak out of turn just yet.

Charles is still there and was more than happy to have us in on semi-final day - however some inconsiderate fool booked a christening in the kendall for that day. Looking to have a 'standing booking' in there for home game days. I'll be driving this - I'm so keen to get that place fkn packed again.

I'm not so keen on the internal sub-club thing though. IMO it makes it feel too exclusive.

Plans are in the works, though.
