ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Agree I used to live in Epping an BT is easier to get to than NSOPoor babies.
On another note .. I am one of the 20% of members who live south of the Hawkesbury ... perhaps asking us directly if we want more games at NSO would have been good marketing intelligence?
First good argument I've seen for moving a signifanct number of games down there

Thinking the exact same thing haha. If it pisses Sydney FC off, let's do it*
They seem very threatened by the idea.
(* let's not... I just think Sydney FC's reaction is hilarious!)
Maybe SFC could play a community round there, with a view to several games next year, if they are so worried about protecting their turf.
I am sure it would be cheaper than the SFS.
Well shoot, we ain't never thought of that.Poor babies.

Sensible. Better than going to Campbelltown or wherever they last went.Maybe SFC could play a community round there, with a view to several games next year, if they are so worried about protecting their turf.

How much promotion of the games do you have there on the coast? Do most people in the community know when a game is on?
A fair bit, the major local stations, 2GO and Star at least, run promotions heavily coming up to the games... Every time I've gotten in the car for the last week, I've heard a spot for tomorrow's game.
It sort of goes with my comment earlier, in one of the other threads, I actually think MC has done quite an extraordinary job in improving/increasing the promotional work by the club, beyond the occasional visit of a Mariner here and there... It's an ENORMOUS improvement over the last couple of years... Which is why it's so surprising to me, that, at the same time, he seems to come up with ill-considered marketing moves like the suggestion of moving almost half our home-games to NSO next year.
TBF, in terms of players in their catchment, they're probably over-catered if anything, meaning they can't do the community outreach that WSW do or anything like what CCM do.Sydney FC, the team for all of Sydney, is getting squeezed from two directions. WSW from one side and CCM from the other. It's like 1945.
I wonder if Tony Pignata spends most of his time in a bunker deep under Martin Place pushing imaginary armies around on a big map.
How is Brookvale Oval closer to the coast than NSO?For me expanding the fan base into Northern Sydney is a reasonable goal ... I do question NSO, it is a cow to get to, parking is a nightmare, it's an oval shape .... Brookvale is closer to the Coast shares similar values in that it is a beach and water area ... is the right shape and the Northern Beaches have a strong local competition and Football over the years has received HHHHHmmmmm reasonable [for football] media coverage from the Manly Daily ...
