ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

yeah It was hard core only .

I'm not sure it's even the core - being a Friday always knocks a little off us as people dash home from work, get the kids and then go "f**k it I'll watch it on telly". Given it's now on SBS, that's much more of a factor.

Weather was additionally unhelpful; a lot of people who might've been 50/50 would've gone "f**k it, I'm staying home".

Still, if we had cracked 8k last night under perfect skies I'd still have been surprised.

Saturday nights are our still comfortably our best nights for crowds, because people get out on the lash and make a night of it. Fridays they're rushing home from work, Sundays they're thinking about work in the morning.

One dropped out cause of the weather.
One dropped out because of the weather and the fact he could watch it on the box.
Both my kids dogged it because of the rain but simply organised something else.
Others made excuses..too tired, you rang me too late...all lame.
All claim they are coming to the Bling game so lets hope the weather is kind.

. nailed it ... but also doesn't suggest nso is a solution

. nso games will rely on drawing those already in sydney on game day (whether coasties or not) so weekdays makes sense ... but weekdays are ridiculous for nso games if you live, work or have kids on the coast

. the problem with killing two birds with one stone is that you now have two dead birds

. forget all the game-play charlesworth ... what you really need to do is have all of our home games scheduled for saturday night and all of our away games scheduled for friday night - problem solved.

The only answer I can see is to have the first half at NSO and the second half at Bluetongue.

Let's just work out what works for us - it seems to me that the games I enjoy most and which have the best party atmosphere are Saturday nights at the later slot. I plan to not drive, I have a few beers, I feel more like having a sing and I go out in Gosford afterwards.

Now I'm not typical - I come up from Sydney and I stay with family on the Saturday nights, so locals or Sydneysiders who do the 'commute' to watch games may have a completely different experience.

But numbers in the stands and especially numbers in the bay suggest that this is the sweet spot for us. I reckon if they ask the stadium they get more corporate box sales, more food and beverage sales and the club probably get more merch sales at this time too.

And

Middy...were you there?

Alot of people pussied out because of the cold and rain. It cost me 5 people.

I think we would have got 9K + on a decent night.

Yer I was their ... got to the club at 6:00, went to the all you eat ... onto the match...

The shop next to mind have Mariner posters up ... I said about 3:00 you guys going tonight and they said no and a courier driver who was there said me neither ... so the rain kept a lot away IMO about 7 to 8 K given the players and lead up to the game .. on a Saturday night with good weather me thinks 12 to 14 K against MV...

I am starting to feel a jinx, I started following the Blacktown Demons they did all sorts of things but where simply to small to stay in the top part of the NSL…My next choice was the Northern Spirit … now The Mariners are under a cloud [again] ….takes a bit to annually go tho this will we be hear tomorrow and that in itself could be holding back the extra 10 to 15 % we seem to need on the Coast …

nailed it :p
I didn't like retirement so have just started working again...unfortunately missed Friday's game because of the commute from Sydney. So Bikini Girls's solution would suit me perfectly.

Do you mean "through"?

You seem to use tho as an abbreviation for "through" and "thoughts" when most of the time if I see it I think someone's being too lazy to type "though".
