Hard to tip this one. An under strength Victory side, but Thompson scored 2 cracker goals last week. However, we normally shut him down pretty well anyway.

Going to need a big game from Matty Simon, I think.

Pedj was woeful with his crosses. absolely terrible. definitely agree with the shooting practice. so many times near the box and they would spread it wide.

Great game. Probably most enjoyable 0.0. Game that I can remember.

I thought we were great, easily the best we have played this year. Good atmosphere and good crowd although only looked about 9.5k to me. Yellow Army were fantastic.

Ryan 7. Very alert and lively.
Pedj 5. Has to be the worst crosser of the ball in HAL. I would start Hearfield at RB next week.
Wilko 8. Superb. Calm and classy.
Duchy 8.5. The man is a beast. Some world class tackling.
Rose 6.5. Definitely Rosey' s best game of the year. Still below his best but marked improvement.
WeeMac 6.5. Better effort.
Rostyn 7.5. Some crunching covering tackles. Impressive overall game.
McBreen 7. Aggressive and got through a mountain of work. Mixed up some lovely through balls with the touch of an elephant and the finishing of a blind man.
Bozanic 8.5. No Surprise that his best game of the year coincided which CCM best effort of the new campaign. Thought he was brilliant and my MOM.
Simon 7. Good effort.
Bernie 7. Showed great movement and touch. Very raw and makes plenty of mistakes but so very exciting. Faded just before being subbed.

I thought Arnie didn't handle his subs very well tonight. Armini should have been on 15 mins earlier. Strange to play Hearfield up front.

I'd have put Hearfield to RB. Amini on for McBreen while Simon and Bernie still had some legs.

Next week I'd like to see Amini start and Hearfield to start at RB.

We played really well but it was just one of those games. If they play well like that every game, we will go a long way again this season and the crowd will return.

Pedj though, you deserve to be dropped after that. An awful performance and really let the team down on many occasions.

A thoroughly entertaining match & as Wombat said "one of the best 0-0 draws I can remember.
I thought the Victory never looked like winning & although they had a few players out we really dominated them for long periods with no reward.

It looks like a few more players have found their "MOJO"again with Rose,Bozanic & Wee-mac having their best games this season.

On the other side of the coin though,Pedj was awful.I can`t understand how a player can reach this level & have absolutely no idea of how to cross a ball!!
In saying that some of the crosses from the left weren`t all that good either. However, the left side mixed it up & attacked the box.

For mine it`s time for Pedj to shake hands with Tony Walmsley & give Sainsbury another shot.

I also thought Musti looked a lot sharper & can`t be that far off a starting spot whilst Hearfield always looks sharp.

10,500 wasn`t bad either although in terms of atmosphere they couldn`t even get the 3 clap Mariners going.
A really good night though!!!

Felt good tonight .. left happy not because we drew.. but because we look like getting back to last years form again...

Huge turning point for me was when Musty came on.... he draws players to him which in itself creates space for others ... but his first touch and passing is a class above... one run in particular he came in from the left after receiving a poor pass his first touch moved the ball out of danger to his left... he turned right then straighten and the ball was at his feet he was in free space and had passed three player then weighted a well time ball to Olly as Rose had read the play and run down the wing ... and it was all because of a little push of the ball with the outside of the first foot receiving the pass { most say to take a pass with the inside foot using the outside foot as a shield] meaning pushing a little pass to yourself into a safe spot inside a crowd of people and then drop your shoulder to sent players the wrong way and then by stepping shield the ball and move forward and all in two steps and one touch... that is real class ... or a fluke ... and he does it too often to be a fluke...

Can hardly wait till Musty & Bernie are both fit and on the run on team...

Thought Ryan's distribution was outstanding.
Bozanic man of the match.
Rose had his best game of the season
Pedj could be close to a game in youth.
Bernie still has a long way to go, reminds me a little of Simon three seasons ago.
I'm sure Arnie regrets not injecting Amini earlier because he certainly provided some spark.

Thanks to all of you - I wasn't able to see the game today; Seems we played well and are still on the improve. Would love to see Hearfield at RB - so much better on the ball than Pedj and can defend too. Maybe it is just a process of evolution?

Pedj 5. Has to be the worst crosser of the ball in HAL. I would start Hearfield at RB next week.

i see merit in this. would make the "i love you troy" kids behind me happy

rose looked like a dead cat in the 80th .looked like a bit of flu or something

bernie would be sore and sorry .copped a floggin from leijer

free kick options need a great deal of improvement

I also think the short passing game needs some work. Seems that they hold on to the ball too long sometimes. not enough movement off the ball IMO and perhaps a lack of anticipation. the Roar have set the benchmark in this respect and it is something we should be aiming for.

Still pretty pleased with the result in some respects as with the exception of Pedj everyone seems to be coming into form. Pat and Wilko are beasts at the back. Love their work.

pedj could be out if the MRC look into his kidney punch on vargas after the corner late in game

I thought we were brilliant last night and we could of easily had 2 or 3 goals and from memeory they didn't even test the keeper but I will watch the replay later in the week. Pedj is really lacking confidence at the moment and he stood out last night as our poorest performer. Hopefully he gets his act together otherwise I reckon Hearfield must be getting close to a start at right back.

He wsn't MOM last night but Matty Simon has been a real standout for me this year. I was never a fan but started to warm to him last year and he'gotten even better this year. His hold up play is excellent and he rarely chooses a bad option. Because he such a bustling character I don't think he is given enough credit for his vision and has produced a defence splitting pass quite a few times already this year. He also got off great left footed strike last night which you wouldn't have seen 2 years ago.
