Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I was looking forward to seeing Kewell.
If he doesn`t player you can probably drop a few thousand off the crowd.

I think Archie is the key.If we can tie him up we can beat Victory.
We`ve shown we can systematically break down a defence.
With Wilko back I`m sure our defence will hold up.
2-1 us is my tip.

Crowd 10,000-

Its going to be a great game lets hope we can get 13000+ people there. I hope we start with the same team looking to build on our last couple of games mariners to win 3-2 victory to keep full team on the pitch. Its going to be a long week at work can't wait for this game.

Make no mistake about it this is going to be a very dangerous game despite Victory's stuttering start. With the exception of Covic I don't think Kewell or Foschini are that great a loss TBH.

yes every game is dangerous .but credit hasn't been given to the time spent on kewell by oppositions.
he put in a few world class passes in the last two weeks for goals and im happy he won't be proving for the melbourne filth this week .
without the teflon muscot factor and the lads returning to mariner football form.head down arse up .they'll prevail if their ,there to play against a very tired melbourne.it's the old story after a game like that their flat for next week.
we should be hungry

Why are people tipping such huge crowds? Anyone who is enough of a Kewell fan to show up for a game just because of him would be enough of a Kewell fan to know that he is not playing...

7500 at best

Mariners 3 - 2 Melbourne

Be interesting to see the affect of the late start ... I personally think the 17:00 kick off is the worst starting time..

Anyone got any news about Musty... I know he played a full YL game on Sunday... but did he pull up OK ... has he recovered and just needs some match fitness...

Coming up from Sydney with a couple of mates, one of whom is a big Victory fan! Quietly confident of a win, would be really nice to keep a clean sheet.

I think the 5.30pm timeslot was what the club's mkt research identified as the ideal time? I think 7.30 is maybe a little late for some families with young kids.

I prefer 7.30, but whatever gets us the biggest crowds I'll support

Hopefully we can take advantage of Victory missing 4 starting XI players. Kewell and Hernandez will be with the Socceroos and Costa Rica respectively, and obviously Covic and Foschini were red carded.

Has the kick-off time changed?
My fixture card says 7.45pm KO, so does the A-League website...
Can anyone else verify KO time ..

We had over 10,000 at the gold coast game and near-on 7000 at last years season openers that were windy, cold and raining. Why are you tipping such a small crowd?

I'm gonna say 11,200 based on good weather and 7,800 if the weather is crap.

Mariners 3, Victory 1. Totally biased, unobjective assessment of skills of each team but I don't care; just want to see us win a game in style :)

Sorry, must have seen a foxsports promo that had coverage starting at 7.30 or something.
