Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I would be very tempted to push Bojic into midfield given how ineffective we were in the 2nd half last week or play Bojic, Wilco and Boogs as a 3 man defence with 5 in midfield.

So either

Clarke Boogs Wilko D'Appuzo
Caceras Hutch Bojic Elrich
Macca Sash

or

Boogs Wilko Bojic

Caceras Clarke Hutch Porter Elrich

Macca Sash

clark just kicks the ball out half the time instead of trying to do someting with it,
and porter seems to get overwhelmed it it all, just my look on the game!!

fair call. but clarke came under alot of pressure last week and if ossie was to be brought into the back he would have to play a full 90 mins and i dont think hes up to it.

Osman looks way out of his depth and Clarky had to mark The asian sum which isnt a easy thing to do. Sings very fast. I thought he did a graet job. Mine you i could really see with that flag but it was tops lol.

Can't wait for this weekend. Looking forward to seeing the coves faces when we kick their ass.

My dad said "it might be raining, are you still going?" and I felt like slapping him. Bloody idiot, of course I'm going.

He is a LA Galaxy fan (not quite sure if he actually likes them or secretly has a thing for Beckham) and he doesn't have foxtel or anything, so he can't watch them. absolutley pointless.

But back on topic - GO MARINERS!

You wouldn't want to sound like a complete Osman fanboy or anything, would you now?

Osman is doing well for someone who did his knee less than a year ago, but I don't think he looks much better than underdone at the moment...

So, are the deliberate typos still amusing you?

I think he's a great young player who will be very good for us this year and when on top form should be a definite starter. Last week however he was well off the pace and very quiet, particularly compared with some of his storming performances pre-injury.

It's no big problem, he's coming back and will improve from there. I simply believe that to think he was anything near his or our best last week is to be deluded.

Osman just isn't very good in midfield.

For all his nice technical skill, he's never really done much when played in midfield (aside from that goal in the Semi in season one - in a game where otherwise he'd had a stinker). Not vicious/dynamic enough on the wing, not ballsy enough as a pure DM, and not enough vision/grit as an AM.

In a league where every fullback is a converted midfielder or CB, he stood out as one of the best midfield conversions last year. With Porter and Hutchinson at CM (not to mention Jedinak and Gumps coming back), he shouldn't be considered for midfield (except maybe as Elrich's last resort backup).
