obviously you will all already be prejudiced against me and disregard what i have to say, but i couldnt hear you guys at all when the cove quitened down after singing we cant hear you. there was just this gloomy silence. come on guys have some fun and get behind your team.

one thing i have to admit is that the huge sea of yellow was an impressive sight following petrovski's goals. very cool.

you guys should catch the cole train back to the cove. then youll learn a thing or too about real chanting.

I guess you know it really wouldn't have taken much in the last 15 for the score to have been the other way round (and maybe you forum would be as damning as this)

But you should know from the other side of the stadium the Marinators we NOT silent, considering the numerical disadvantage (as you'd expect from city of 4M vs region of less than 1/10 of that) they did well and matched you at times.

In fact is was marvellous to see the grand, well-organised cove freeze in silent suspended animation after each of Sash's goals  ;D

p.s. bikinigirl i think u might be reading into it a bit too much. granted im a sydney supporter and i didnt see it but he's pretty much a 24 year old a-league debutant. how arrogant can you be after getting first signed up at a relatively old age (for football)? i dont think hes going to be aggravating anybody on purpose in his second ever a-league game.

. i think it was the underhanded way he went about it. if it had happened while the ball was in play i wouldn't have been so shocked - nothing like a shoulder in the back when you least expect it and can't see it coming

While on the subject of Wilko I'm not sure he's captain material anyway.Has anyone else noticed how his head goes down when things are not going to plan.I first noticed it last year when we went through that bad spell around xmas and into the new year.We'd lose a goal and he would be standing around looking at his feet and shaking his head whilst Aloi$i would be doing the captains job of trying to get the players to lift.At one point during the 5-2 defeat against Melbourne I saw Aloi$i telling him to lift his head and get on with it.

Several people around where  I sit have noticed this....anyone else?

Not sure who I'd make skipper though......maybe Bozza!!!!

First time I got to hear the radio broadcast (streamed) from Mick & Co. Super work gents! I just loved Mick's fearless comments.

From bed and without the benefit of vision, I saw the game this way:

I take back my comment about poor crowd, thanks to Mick's stats. I clearly hadn't done my homework! Augers well for the rest of the season, provided we can racking up some wins, especially at home.

the defence was woooful i was so angry.
Bozza is a guest player so not chance of being captian.
I think Hucho looks like a player that could take contol of a team or Sasho.

S'pose how bad "crap" is means different things to different people. Between your "crap" and Greenpole's "piss poor" and "deserved...nothing", I must have been at a different game. (I now wonder where the f*ck I was  )

I'd like to think I don't unobjectively look at the team I support through rose-coloured glasses. If I saw crap I'd call it too. Last night was better than my crap.

If you want to look at them through your shit-coloured glasses, that's your call - however much it shits me. I'm glad you're both diehards who'll continue your support as much as I'm glad as I'll (apparently) be at a different game.

+1, and watching the reply today has not convinced me any less

and the stats show we dominated sydney in terms of ground advantage, shots on goals and corners - i hardly call all that crap, even though it was against a team that will not be top four this season

if it wasn't for two diobolical defensive errors and/or some cooler finishing we would have been on this forum praising the win

the range between crap and a deserved victory seems very thin to me

The game stopped and I think we all felt bad that this guy may be out for a while this season. Then he gets up and jumps back on the field. He has gone way down in my books. I know guys get little knocks and do the same thing but he was still for minutes...... Bloody wanker

How is it that players, who are evidently so injured that they have to get stretchered off, are miraculously able to play elite football merely minutes after they couldn't even stand up.

FIFA should pass a law that if a player has to get carried off the park, they're not allowed back on. It's just bloody ridiculous.

They're either that badly hurt, or they're not.

And if they're not, then they obviously don't have much pride in themselves to want to look like such a wimp.

Greenpole - have to agree that 5-4 kick in the guts still hurts. I think on the forum we were saying it was season defining in the lead up to it and it proved to be the case. $FC kicked the crap out of us and we still have the mental scars....

I think we need to drink a few schooners of "toughen the f**k up" and start to get in other teams faces a bit more.

We can tend to back off if pressed and as Lawrie said at the post season gig, we need a mean bastard in the side to intimidate people.

I can live with my team getting beat. TBH, my support is not predicated on their sucess but I would like to see us adopting the Kossie clogging mentality to ruffle a few teams.
