Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Yep,  QR media release ..

"Frank Farina says tomorrow nights match against the Central Coast Mariners will be a big test, following the news that speedy winger Tahj Minniecon has been ruled out with a hip-flexor injury.

Minniecon pulled up sore following training yesterday and was unable to take part in this mornings session at Suncorp Stadium, with the same injury that forced him out of the round 20 match against Sydney FC".

Problem is they can just bring Oar in and switch Zullo to the right (as we look up the field from Danny :))

Oar is left-sided.

They'll start Kruse or Cernak in Minneicon's place. Alternatively move Nichols to replace Minneicon, and bring the fat hun in the XI.

Caceres at LB? It's not good to be drinking hard in the morning you know.

JH to LM, DH to LB, AC to CM. JH pulls in narrow as DH bombs forward and can drop in if need. NB and AC play diamond.

Where's PB?

Not even on the bench. still at home.

Yeah smarty, but the question is why?

Teams have turned around impossible deficits in the past:
- Deportivo La Corua v AC Milan in 2004
- Brondby v Karlsruhe in 1996
- Bayer Leverkeusen v Espanyol in 1988
- Bayer Uerdingen v Dynamo Dresden in 1986

But is there the will and firepower for the Mariners to do the same?

I dont this this is impossible.
Each time i have watched the replay of the game this week my mind changes on what how i thought the Mariners played. I dont think they were as bad as i first thought. They defended well and both Queensland goals were from set pieces. The first 60 minutes the Mariners matched the Roar everywhere except the scoreboard.
With the enforced changes to the Roar the game evens up. Mariners have a good record in Brisbane and if they can control the midfield and give quality ball through to the strikers they could get a goal and then it is game on.
Key will be winning the midfield and looks like McKinna may opt to play Porter in their like he did for the CCL. Interesting with Bojic but there could be more to it than meets the eye.
