ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Looking over my old messages, there have been a couple, one from a random number (you can usually set these things to use a random number or whatever text you want)

going back a bit further

and then today's effort

Why are they dropping "Central Coast" and "CC" from all their marketing now?

Drop the emphasis so NS people don't feel like they're supporting someone else's team?

I think they have sent that to everyone who is in the database. No problem with this but why can't this be done for home games? I fail to understand why the massive effort put in for the NSO game can't be replicated for CCS games.

Given that the overwhelming majority of recipients are members, why would they do this for home games? We know when they're on, and in most cases we turn up - to me it sounds like a waste of money.

Third Rock From The Sun Mariners. Y'know, because there's a big potential fanbase in the western spiral arm of the milky way. They're mostly snowballs and amoeba, but we think we're onto a good thing and we're willing to give it time.

hmm. That sounds very familiar. Almost as if somebody I know has already used that one against me on Twitter some months ago. Hmm.

I would have thought that there would be provision in the rules concerning the suitability of the playing surface at any venue. But no, all I can find are rules relating to commercial considerations. Nothing I can find relating to player safety where the playing surface is concerned.
Probably in the same vein as a referee making a decision based on heavy rain/ water on the pitch.

I know a number of people who haven't been members for seasons now and still got the text. It's a great marketing tool if done correctly.

Can always market like this to people who haven't renewed memberships.
It's easier to get a previous sale/client back than it is to go out hunting new ones.

Bozza had this to say about the pitch:

2 all @gomvfc supporters & CCM Mariners as well. I have visited NSO twice,Wednesday and yesterday. The pitch is like a carpet. Barring more rain(which is possible) or CCM asking it 2 b watered b4 hand it is in excellent condition. Obviously the cricket pitch area is a wee bit harder than the rest of the pitch,it's not discernibly so. The ground staff have done a wonderful job.xmb

Plus i'm sure that all the free tickets given out as part of the membership have to have a phone number entered in order to get the freebie (at least i have seen it done when friends have used mine). All these numbers must be recorded somewhere...so that is all members, past members, people using free tics, people registering an interest maybe......would add up.
