Good to hear.Bozza had this to say about the pitch:
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Good to hear.Bozza had this to say about the pitch:
Given that we've been around 10 years, I reckon there are a lot of old customers. Would be great to see why they left and how they could be brought back. Can't treat them as burnt. Can always market like this to people who haven't renewed memberships.
It's easier to get a previous sale/client back than it is to go out hunting new ones.
Bozza's selling the event. He's hardly going to walk out there and say it's a shit pitch and the game's going to be awful.Bozza had this to say about the pitch:
It's NOT @ BLUETOUNGE so it's going to be shit anyway regardless of the pitchBozza's selling the event. He's hardly going to walk out there and say it's a shit pitch and the game's going to be awful.
Have you looked at the photos he'd posted on his feed? The surface actually looks pretty decent.Bozza's selling the event. He's hardly going to walk out there and say it's a shit pitch and the game's going to be awful.
GOSFORD City Mayor Lawrie McKinna walked away from the Central Coast Mariners this week amid fears that more home games will be moved to Sydney.Given that we've been around 10 years, I reckon there are a lot of old customers. Would be great to see why they left and how they could be brought back. Can't treat them as burnt.
They should do both, the two are not mutually exclusive.Exactly. If they put the same amount of effort into the home games, they wouldn't need to move to North Sydney.
What have we here another Tinkler!GOSFORD City Mayor Lawrie McKinna walked away from the Central Coast Mariners this week amid fears that more home games will be moved to Sydney.
Mr McKinna was the club’s inaugural coach and has held an official role with the Mariners throughout the past decade, including most recently as club ambassador.
His announcement came ahead of tonight’s home game against Melbourne Victory which is bein held at North Sydney Oval, the first of two Mariners home games being played in Sydney this season.
There is speculation more games will be moved next season.
“It’s been on the cards for a few months,” Mr McKinna said.
“I don’t feel as though I need to be involved at the club. I’ve got my views and they’ve got their views and it’s nobody’s fault but it’s time to be a fan.”
Mr McKinna said he wouldn’t “bag” the club but, in his role as Gosford mayor, he could not support moving any more games away from the coast than one or two a season.
“Playing one or two games away from home, we’ve done it over the years, it’s not an issue,” Mr McKinna said.“But it’s how you portray that. And as the mayor of Gosford I can’t come out and support playing more games away than that. The Mariners as a team are important to the Central Coast.”
With the club citing diminishing crowds as a reason for looking further afield, Mr McKinna said it was crucial for supporters to do their bit.
“It’s really important the public get behind the team because the boys need them and we need to show the support to (Mariners owner) Mike Charlesworth, that the club can sustain itself on the coast,” he said.
When asked why people were not going to the game, Mr McKinna chose his words carefully.
“Fans need to feel like they’re a part of the club, when a home game is coming up, they should be talking to their mates at work about going to the game,” he said.
“But some people don’t feel the same engagement as might have happened in the past. That’s not having a go at anybody, that’s how people feel.” (Page 3 Express Advocate)
For me on a personal note: I tell you what if more home games are designated away from Central Coast Stadium they can kiss my continuing membership goodbye.

One of the concerns mentioned was a lack of TV viewers, a big name marquee would help in that regard.Hate to do the Sydney FC thing, but maybe a big name would help.
It looks ridiculous at the moment from my office in Eastgardens. From my window I've got an arc from Maroubra around to Botany Bay and over to the airport, and there's an enormous sheet of steely blue sky that looks like it will dump hard at any moment.http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDN65152.shtml
Looks like the storms coming! This will kill the crowd. I know quite a few people from down here (Sydney) that were keen on coming but have bailed with the threat of storms. It's looking very grey and ominous from my apartment in Artarmon!
B O M radar shows a small but intense storm heading from the western suburbs toward northern Sydney. It looks ridiculous at the moment from my office in Eastgardens. That was uber fun. The Minister for War and Finance got a lovely shot of me and Tiger in the bay that night. What sort of loser doesn't go to the football because of a little rain? Remember that 6-2 win in the rain against Victory in the championship year? That game was sick. Even the draw against scum that season in the pissing rain was great fun.

It's not just a little rain, it's a thunder storm with hail expected.
