To clarify reports surrounding Liam Reddy, he will come to the Club on trial over the coming weeks. Other 'keepers are also being looked at.

Not wishing to be a killjoy or anything but it is not that long ago that a large 'Arnold Out' banner was seen at Bluetongue so far be it from me, or anyone else, to think we know more about football than he does. If Arnie decides he will take Reddy he has my full support

if coaching staff think he's the man for the job then I can accept that. though I suspect he'd fail the NDP and cost more than a backup keeper otherwise might so am considering his signing unlikely in any case

We are also trialling Jamie Young, an Australian, who has had a long career in the lower leagues of the UK, most recently with Aldershot. He's very brave, and quite athletic but he isn't tall. Hard to make comparisons with Reddy, or to compare lower leagues with the A League. I am sure Arnie and Crawley will know if either is up to the standard and make the right call - they won't sign either of them if they aren't good enough.

. from a membership drive point of view ... signing reddy could be worse than the canberra debacle

. over the last three years arnie has focussed on the football side of things at the expense of community engagement (fair enough). but now that he is making efforts to re-engage and publicly confirmed at the last fan forum the NDP ... he would be doing himself, the club and the community a huge disservice if he signed reddy - irrespective of the football side of things

. hutch was also quite clear about the 'vibe' in the changeroom ... can anybody believe that the presence of reddy would not harm that situation?

Would Reddy be prepared to sit on the splinter? Because I don't think he's better than Pas, and I would be very disappointed if he pushed Pas out of the #1. Mind you I would be very disappointed if we signed Reddy for any reason. We don't need such as he.
