ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Team performance 2024/2025

Is struggling to adapt as a part of a team. Going from dominating the NPL team as a main player to being a bit lost at times.

He also doesn’t value possession enough and trying trick passes to often.

However he has some sublime skills and this is his learning year. He has fallen backwards like the team over the last month or two but has some serious talent. He will be better next year
He was guilty of not respecting possession in the NPL, so needs to be educated on that aspect of his game period.

Brandtman - Sign now
Duarte - Sign when he gets back on the park
Brandtman, Duarte, Eames, DeLima and DiPizio are going to be the 5 players who cover our #9 and #10 positions in the very near future. We will need 5 players as over the next couple of years some will be sold.

Kaltak - I suspect will receive an offer from another club that we will not be able to match at the end of the season. If not I would re-sign him if he can form a stable partnership with Sains.

Kuzevski - Seems to be under some sort of cloud.

McCalmont- I would re-sign McCalmont if he is not too expensive. Hopefully Tappy can make it back and they can form a go forward partnership.

Paull - Definite re-sign with a view to the future.

Smith - If he has a good offer from an NPL side let him go. If not he has til the end of the season to find form.

Theoharous - I would probably let him go at the end of the season, but we are desperately in need of some quality in form wingers if we do.

Warshawsky - Someone has to sit on the bench as the backup keeper. However release if Pavlesic is better.

I was thinking something similar - we are rewarding good performances but not giving time to gel. Through the year Eames, Wilson, Ngor, Brandtman and da Lima have all arguably been go own a start too soon after a promising bench performance, and dropped too quickly once we realise they are all kids and can’t play 90 yet. Next in line is Scicluna to have a good 10 minute cameo, start the next week, and drop off the radar the next.

The ultimate case in point was the giveaway on the halfway line against Wollongong at pluim late in the season for their second goal… 🫠
Flipside here is he also had the most assists and chances created for the NPL, by some way. Without checking my notes, he was the only player in the squad to reach double figures for assists.
Excellent in tight spaces, actually quite intelligent off the ball, and not afraid to take a chance to try a killer pass in the attacking third (though I don’t think we’ve seen nearly enough of that so far in his aliga journey just yet).
I wouldn’t mind seeing him more central at the head of a midfield 3
Preach this. Great buzzing around and receiving between the lines IMO.

A lot to like about him. Hopefully we can harness the undoubted raw potential that he has and watch him flourish here before invevitably moving OS - I’d hate to see him move to another aliga club.
