ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Yep, I come back to the discipline issue too, two red cards just 7 rounds apart is no good in his first season.

Hiariej is key for mine, but he needs help to make it happen. Hope there's a good signing or two in the pipeline.

Brama treated us like a year holiday in Australia and while showed some good things, l am not that upset he's gone. Discipline was a problem.

I don’t buy into the discipline problem, one brain snap, every player in the world at any level has them. His other red card was just an absolute joke of VAR. If your CM’s aren’t picking up occasional yellows you’d be worried they’re not working hard.
We are now short a high level CM to partner Tom which now becomes a bit of a priority along with the striker and playmaker.
The CM/Playmaker spot can be a 2 birds 1 stone type deal with some quality scouting by mike and Monty.
Olly could fill that, Rostyn has great passing range and vision too. There’s plenty of great pom’s around champship/league 1 that can fill that roll and surely Monty is in contact with plenty over there. Hopefully anyway...

Gutted about Wout deciding to leave. Slightly fearful about Tom now...
Although it leaves the door wide open to make a big play for Rostyn or Olly.
Rostyn left Uzbekistan so he could trust an Australian hospital with his child’s birth.

Well my 2 came through Gosford Hospital, so I can definitely act as character witness during negotiations if need be:thumbup:

Disappointed he is gone. But mainly because I have his signed pink jersey framed on my wall. I wanted DDS's jersey but changed my mind. Not sure if I got the better end of the deal...…

Obviously a quality player but for the experience he has had, and quality of league he has played in , i don't think we were getting value for money.
A stand out for me in a very poor season was a lack of leadership, and Wout really didn't stand out there. His disipline was also inconsistent and that tackle on Gameiro one of the the poorest things i have seen in a Mariners shirt.
Sorry to see him go but if we recruit well then we should be in a better place.

Nobody in the whole team can be said to have given value for money .......... but he led the challenge to okon from what I understand and his work rate alongside tom was the best midfield combo in the league. I was looking forward to them being the brick foundations for the season :( .

No great loss. Was evidently here on holiday and attitude didn't impress people I hear.

Be surprised if we could afford Rostyn but I hope to be proved wrong
In regards to attitude wasn't Brama the driving force behind complaining about the lax attitude to training etc.?

$50k a week to $300-400k a year haha
Villa are looking to offload Jedi because of his high wages. He is 34 and has maybe 2 seasons left, i think if he ever had any aspirations to finish his career in Australia it has to be now. I think Villa brought Jedi over from Palace to hopefully help guide them back to the EPL and were willing to pay for it. That hasn't happened and Jedi would be lucky to get half that elsewhere......
