Did anyone else read Jem’s most recent club interview and get the feeling of fear with the amount of times he mentioned le fondre and worry that he’ll end up at Sydney next season if things don’t turn around?

My little yellow navy heart can’t take much more

. i didn't need the interview ... the short term deal was all i needed to see/hear and draw my own suspicious conclusion

. he gets to come out here for a few months, see if he thinks the league will suit him, then move down the road to be with his mate

Article hits a very good point right at the start.

(Albert Einstein said the definition of insanity was 'Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.')
What is Mike Mulvey doing to change a very evident problem that has happened 8 times?!

Based on tonight as the final straw for me, our structure/formation when we get tired invites the other team to run at us on the counter and our ‘wing backs’ are now where to be seen leaving us with 1on1 or 2on2 situation.

Need 2 simple strong consistent lines that teams need to fight harder to break through.
And simple so our tired and fatigued players need to be.

Next week I would start with the 2 older mids for a slower but steadier start to see if we still get a goal or 2 like usual, then finish with the fitter and more enthusiastic players to try and hold the match and keep up with the pace.

Mcging Aspro New Rowles
Miller Gem O’Neill Tom Pain
Simon

Miller off - Hoole on: 58min
Jem off - Mell on: 65min
Tom off - New on: 80min

After the week we have just had, would it surprise anyone to learn that the club has now fcuked up the Sheff. Utd loanee’s visas? If true (and my understanding is that it is), will someone be held accountable? I highly doubt it.....

After the shite that has gone down this week, this latest stuff up would just about be the icing on the top of the cake and heads should roll surely?

The club could however, start to make amends by announcing Tommy’s resigning for another two seasons but I won’t be holding my breath.

This is the first I'm hearing of this - what is happening now?

Second half Muscat changed tactic. He went direct and completely bypassed our midfield and limited opportunity for our wingbacks to get back in time to assist.

It was repeatedly 2 on 3 or 3 on 3 almost every time they went long. And with Elvis’s pace it was destroying us. It was very simple and very effective.

Should have had Melling drop back and sit deep, - became mostly pointless having two DM’s in the middle - where we’d been previously winning the contest.

That said. Kennedy absolutely cost us that game.

A ball he should have come for. Yet again. His judgement/ decision making and speed are terrible. And his quadruple panic flap at a ball that was within his grasp and just required one calm little slap to the side was horrendous. Given as an own goal I believe.

I love Matty, but he’s only scored four goals all season and only two of those from open play. It’s a prickly issue, but a serious one. He won one free kick in a great are that led to a goal, but missed two golden chances,

Short story, we have a keeper who lets in goals but we have no one better to replace him, and a starting striker who rarely scores, but he’s on many ways the heart of our side.

Not a good predicament.

To be honest at this stage of the season, and the position we are in, to get worried about short term deals for the rest of the season falling through is pointless.

This season is well and truly f***ed. It is all very well to try quick term fixes to avoid the spoon, but we should be really working fixes to avoid the spoon next year and the year after.

Playing players who are here for a quick fix to improve results might be ok when you are competing for silverware but where we are it is just a waste of valuable time and resources, when you could be providing experience to young players for the future.

Playing young foreigners on 6 month visas, who will not be here next year, and Millar, who you are keeping fit for your opposition is short term madness.

Oh well, I suppose the Club will stick to its well tried formula, massive clear out in the off season and start again from scratch just before the season starts.

As for heads rolling, if there has been a stuff up you will probably find it was some work experience kid or volunteer. Hard to fund paid staff when you have to pay absent directors of football salaries.

Please explain what you’ve heard about the young boys visa’s?

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
So,the prevailing theory about our shiteness in the last 20 minutes is due to lack of fitness, and since running around in 35 -37 degrees is ridiculous , why don’t they train indoors somewhere like that thing Monty and Rosey have at Erina....cause training for about a half of football daily improves nothing ..., or we could tell foxtel to go f**k the selves and move the game to a different time of year.....but what do I know

Is anyone else worried Hoole might be doing just enough now to tempt the club in to signing him again? His goals lately have been good but I can’t help think he’ll go missing and back to hitting the first man on a corner soon enough.

3 goals in 2 games...Simon can't claim that!
