ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Ok I’m going to Channel my inner oddball and get some positive waves going. Maybe the last min “mutual agreements” have been due to some ongoing contract talks and it was a stalling due to money, these two players now off the books allow for that money to be redirected.

If it happens then you can thank them positive waves!

I’m actually assuming this to be the case.

Late signings seemed most likely to me due to players/agents keeping ccm alternatives open as long as possible.

I expect two announcements.

It will be interesting to see what today brings.

I'm expecting at least one scrapheap player that can't get a gig anywhere else (I hope Nichols has already been signed elsewhere by now).

I'm cautiously optimistic that we get something good.

I'll be disappointed if it's just confirmation of contracts renewed or player promotions.

Given that we lost two defensive players this week, there has to at least one coming in to fill the gap.

Shaun looks like he has been busy till the early hours and seems happy with the result.

A positive

Still wondering if we are an outside chance of Bruno Fornaroli. Perth have signed him to marquee for next season and City don’t want him. With Ross gone maybe we can afford a 3 months rental.

That trip to Melbourne has shown no signs of paying off yet.

Gatt was saying he didn’t expect him to move this season. Would be in line for a big bonus if they play finals and another if they managed to qualify for ACL even if he doesn’t play. Another few months on the sidelines isn’t as damaging as it would be for a fringe player, he can wait it out cos he knows he’ll be fine.

Wasn't it said that it was two defenders?

Given this is going up to the transfer day deadline it can only be three options:
1. Someone overseas and at a current club (loan arrangement probably)
2. Couldn't get anyone up to deadline day so we went with Michael Glassock
3. 1 and 2

I am going with number 1 given that Shaun was up late working.

Looking forward to today as me thinks managerial positions are on the line this time ... when managerial positions are on the line sometimes good decisions are made.

2 new boys. Both look good. Both from overseas. One is built like a brick shithouse.

Good training session and Gameio had a run with the boys. They looked very sharp at times.

Only McGing was still injured.
