ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'd still like to see Aiden and someone solid beside him (Jedi would be gold) and Tommy H as 10 - well trial this anyway. I know he isn't a traditional 10 but I think he would cut it in the HAL

Yeboah has signed with WSW but said we called 6months ago and it was an option but didn’t happen but got him thinking about coming back. He said we didn’t call this time and Babbal called him personally sonhe chose them over AU and SFC
I'd have had him over Gameiro.

Is everybody else just expecting some 'unproven' NPL player or some has-been?
If that happens, it will do nothing to bring the fans back on board....but surely neither MM, MC or SM would do that after everything that's gone wrong with our recruiting ....surely.......?

In fact,

In 5 years time I know which player ? I'm more likely to see playing in the A-League ............ & it AIN'T Andrew Hoole !
Yeah I obviously don’t agree on Liam.
But yep, I would prefer him over Hoole.
But I’d prefer someone better than both of them.

Rowdy, is it really bad mouthing him if Monty didn’t think he was good enough or had issues with him and as the new assistant coach said so?

Can not possibly be that dumb.

Though Millar is our current best player...

I’m almost at the point where I’d take the top 16 recruits from the NPL and keep seven of our current squad and turf the rest.

We can have six scholarship players. Happy to take another 4 from Melbourne City. But that can't be the announcement to calm everyone down.

From Twitter:

The Mariners and City are locked in an unusual tug of war, with both sides making plays at Bastien Schweinsteiger as he visits Melbourne for the Australian Open, according to a source close to the former Bayern Munich midfielder.

CCM CEO Shaun Mielekamp was recently in Melbourne meeting a representative with Mike Mulvey, while City have made contact through Warren Joyce who knew the player personally. Both clubs are believed to be seeking the Marquee Fund assistance.

He's however just resigned with Chicago Fire, who are only happy to see the German leave at the end of the 2019 season. It's believed that Mike Phelan made the introduction for the Mariners, using connections at Manchester United to contact his representatives.
