ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'm happy with Melling being here. Works harder than most in the team, crunching tackles, and can pass (when he's not f**king it up). Good little quote from him here, too:
“To be honest, I’m rapt,” Melling said. “I’m really looking forward to moving to the Central Coast with my family and being closer to the boys so we can build on where we started this season.

“It’s time now to look forward, I am excited for when we can get the full squad in and focus on playing finals football. I’ve really enjoyed being a part of a club that’s so focused on the community – the most frustrating thing has been that we haven’t been able to deliver them the results they deserve on the weekend.

He's moved to the coast, looks like Mulvey is making it a thing.
Head Coach, Mike Mulvey credited the tenacious midfielder’s physical and technical presence.

“Jacob is a player who will be central to our hopes going forward and we're delighted to extend his deal,” Mulvey said. “He’s planning to settle on the Coast with a young family and I know how eager he is to make them proud.

“He has a real presence about him, both physical and technical, and I think he’s a player with a considerable upside that we’re planning to unlock in the coming seasons,” Mulvey said.

Thought Melling would get another year, but was not expecting 2 years. Yeah Brown going to Victory has been rumoured for a couple of weeks now.

Wout and Tom finish at the end of the 2018/2019 season. One or both may want to move on or return home. Locking him in gives a bit of continuity.

I like his attitude even if his skills I dont like so far.

He started out ok but soon fell into the vacuum of the coaching struggle that sucked the life out of most of them. It will be good to see them all get a clean start............ not sure Mulvey is the answer and I am certain charlesworth doesn’t share the culture of the mariners faithfull.

Having our players and coaching staff living in the Central Coast is major step to refilling the stands. 10 years ago, my kids became even more connected with the Mariners by seeing players such as Kwaz or Matt Simon down at the local coffee shop, or Lawrie walking his dog around the neighbourhood and saying hello.

Just as an aside, the highlight for my kids (and myself) back then was meeting the players and coaching staff after the match in the bowlo under the stadium. As far as I am aware, that doesn't happen anymore?

My point is that the next gen of local talent need to have local idols that they look up to so if they make it to the A-League, they stay on the coast.

I dont believe DDS wont be here but if he isnt this bloke would be superb. CURRENT Norwich player of the year and rated their best ever player by some. (Kevin Keelan is their best ever in my book....eh Pat?)

Good call on Keelan. My only concern with Hoolahan is his age coupled with the Australian summer.
