Fun & games indeed!
.......
Mitch Nichols is without a club...yeah yeah he wouldn`t pass the no dickheads policy, but he is known to MM & he would be cheap as he is in a bind at the moment, as is Ben Halloran who looks to be struggling in Japan.
Mitch Nichols.....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Magic Mike has really hit the ground running, removing some of the dead wood that we`ve all become accustomed too.
Good to see Golec coming back, prior to his injury he was one of our best.
If the rumours re: TBT & Charlie Lokolingoy prove true then we may just have a decent goal scorer in the making.

Wouldn`t mind seeing Matt Simon back to give us a bit of old school dressing room. (Maybe as a DM... {thoughts?})
Forget Weemac... that ship has sailed.

I don't want Nichols here but would take Halloran and Yeboah who both seem to have lost their way OS

That’s the spirit we need!

He’s also a lazieier one and a petulant ass hat. But otherwise I’d agree.
Maybe if you could be convinced that he's no longer sniffing white stuff up his hooter. If Hoole really was the one on the booze, I wouldn't want him anywhere Nichols.

MULVEY: WE WANT TO BUILD AROUND GOLEC

Antony Golec has committed his future to the Central Coast Mariners, so Mike Mulvey is committing the club in return.

The former Wanderer, Glory and Adelaide centreback has 81 A-League appearances, including 22 for the Mariners last season.

An interesting club career has also seen him play in Korea, Iran and for Moldovan heavyweights Sheriff Tiraspol, but now 28-years-old, Golec wishes to call the sunny Central Coast his home.

“I’m very happy,” Golec said.

“Unfortunately, last season didn’t go the way we wanted it to go but on a personal level I felt like I built a strong platform to move forward in the future with the club and I honestly couldn’t imagine playing for another club this season.

“I’ve got unfinished business with the Mariners and I want to achieve something with the club and the fans.

“With Mike coming in, we’ve all heard great things. It’s always exciting when a new coach comes in. When I met with Mike, he was very adamant that next season will be a big season for us, he has big plans for the club and I really want to be a part of that.

“I want to win, I want to win things with the Mariners and share that with the fans, so for me it was a pretty easy decision to stay. To win something with the boys here and celebrate with the fans would be very special.

"Last season was a tough one for them but they still supported us week-in-week-out regardless so the big motivation for us next season will be to do it for them – give them what they deserve.

"I am 100% ready to put on that Mariners jersey and give it my all,” Golec said.

Head Coach, Mike Mulvey said the club was aiming to build a defence around Golec, as the club continues restructuring heading into next season.

“We’re rapt that Antony has finally found his football “home” on the Central Coast,” Mulvey said.

“He’s embraced this club, this community and what it means to be a leader. He wants to set an example for others to follow.

“He’s been in the A-League for a decade now and turns 28 next month, which means he is coming into his prime years as a defender. We want to build a defence around him and we'll be looking for him to lead from the back,”

Shaping up to build a team he can really call his own. What have we got contracted 9 maybe 10? 5 of which are first 11 in any team imo and they are the spine. Gives him so much latitude with the other 6 starters and 7 squadies. Almost no excuses if he's shrewd and cunning, a hallmark of mariners of past.

Still depends on how much cash he has left :-(

Thought Melling would get another year, but was not expecting 2 years. Yeah Brown going to Victory has been rumoured for a couple of weeks now.

Nichols has lost a lot of form since he made the socceroos.............. oh wait!!!

Don’t blame his hopefully temporary dalliance with drugs ............ but he has been very red faced, sweating a lot and drinking copiant amounts of water for ages............. it just might be an attitude thing like his head being too big for his boots.
