ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Considering what we've currently got and rumoured to get

Then ........ Yes PLEASE !!!
He is on the decline. Wasn’t very good last season. Another Weemac. Running out of teams and performances are not what they used to be.
So lock him in

Albeit Carrusca isnt a 90 min player

...... but neither was Fabio Ferreira

Would create more than what Hoole would out wide, & as well as deliver better balls in to the box for Simo

I think Carrusca could be a good signing but only on $100,000 or below, he is a very good impact player and improved the Wanderers substantially last season, but we already have McGlinchey in his position and he would also take away development time away from Shabow. Unfortunately with the Phoenix and the Wanderers in competition for his signature I fear we would be easily out bid.

Plan B
- & as you said only for a good price

Okon's 'Plan B':
- of 'doing Plan A better', just wont cut it for another season.

We've assembled a squad of injured, journeymen and some unprovens as yet + a few youth as well.

With space available, citizenship sorted & knowing we are nowhere near the cap
..... Carrusca could be a good/experienced 'squaddie' for injury replacement or if others just aren't cutting the mustard.

Would keep Hoole on his toes & looking over his shoulder

I have a sneaking suspicion that Mulvey's rumored plan/idea of bringing in unwanted Brisb Roar GK, Michael Theo may now be less likely, with the news of The Scum's Jack Duncan exiting gor big $$'s in Saudi Arabia:

Runners-up last season looks a better destination than CCM, for a multi-Championship winning player like Theo.

Maybe the condition of a guaranteed GK Coaching position afterward could be the deal clincher for us to get him
- otherwise its down to the sweet talking 'Scotsman of Scumsville' :tophat:

If Mulvey is set on wanting another keeper, which honestly is horrendously dumb considering we will then have 4 players when at max one player can actually play per week when we need to be using every cent we can find in the best way possible, then Chris Oldfield would be a good signing. He would accept a minimum wage contract, and is a very, very good goalkeeper who is now a naturalized Australian citizen.

Ha. He had a couple of super-salty rants on twitter the other night about the a-league. Seems to have deleted a number of his tweets now though.

To be fair, 2 would just be on minimum wage and i guess Gauci has been taken on as a long term investment. Really BK is the only HAL standard keeper we have at the moment and even then.......

Bk was fine, he just forgets which club he pays for.
So we put in a sub when we play the jets and then we only get slightly smashed
