Actually Rowles seems to have moved the next choice from CB to DM
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
TB,
Are you razzing Recky?
He ain't prawn sandwich set mate.
Salt of the earth like you bro.
I'm only teasing him coz I can sit for free up in platinum but I choose to sit with the boys in bay 17 and now he has gone an upgraded.
Anyways look after him now he is in the posh seats like you.
And I'll crack one for Paolo, it's 5 O'Clock somewhere.I'm cracking another beer, and raising it in the general direction of @Shaun Mielekamp - top job mate, I'm feeling positively giddy (or is it giddily positive?) about this season.
COYY!
Dutch learn anywhere from 3-7 european languages at school. Ive worked for Eurosport a couple of times and the crew are made up of english, french, spanish, german...etc The Dutch guys speak to everyone in their native tongues and say every dutch school kid learns at minimum english, spanish and french. Zwannie was able to talk to perez in spanish as well which helped him settle for the short time he was here...Alan Baro is Spanish, while Tom Hiariej and Wout Brama are Dutch. It's possible that the Dutch guys speak Spanish, and I guess it is also possible that Baro speaks Dutch, but the common thread will most likely be English. (Nebbake will be able to tell us whether there is any similarity between Dutch and Spanish...I'll bow to his superior knowledge)
Dibo asks how we would say 'girt' in French?
Je parle un peu francais (I speak a little French), but haven't any idea what 'girt' is in french. Translation software is notoriously unreliable, so I referred to my Collins Essential French Dictionary and Grammar - the English word 'girt' is not listed.
To give this some semblance of relevance to the thread, I'll state the bleeding obvious; which is that we now have a very European influence at the heart of the team. We have a very exciting season in front of us.
What like mcbreen ?We have a very strong midfield. Wow.
That's 21 players yeah? Or are there 2 youth players in the team?
I still think we are short a great player in the front third to give the best teams a solid nudge.
No like Fab. Having him would have brought a bit more to our front third. Trent and Appiah white great on a given day aren't really reliable to deliver repeatedly. Hoole obviously the back up for DDS but also expected to play wide? What like mcbreen ?
Im happy
Loving that article crediting CCM with two championships, maybe a portent to this season?Wout Brama has taken his desired transfer abroad. The 30-year-old midfielder immediately exchanges FC Utrecht for an adventure at Central Coast Marines in the Australian A-League.
Brama played his entire career in the Netherlands. In recent years, he expressed the wish to play football abroad once and for all. Two years ago, a transfer to Sydney FC broke off at the last minute.
Brama played more than 300 games for FC Twente, the club where he conquered the title in 2010. Since early this year he joined FC Utrecht, who took over transfer from PEC Zwolle during the winter break. The Utrechters promised Brama that they would work on a foreign transfer if that chance would occur.
With two-time Australian champion Central Coast Mariniers, Brama gets to deal with former FC Groningen player Tom Hiariej. The Dutch's Patrick Zwaanswijk (ex-Utrecht) and Marcel Seip (ex-Heerenveen) are well-known former players of the club.

If PO stays true to his Dutch playing style roots, I would say his recruitment has been geared to a 4-2-3-1 formation on the face of it but unlike Fraudsley, I would expect him to also have plans B & C up his sleeve. Dutch players in particular have a reputation for being tactically versatile, so if plan A isn't working, I would expect Paolo to have the confidence in his team to change it up.Gonna be interesting to see our style of play.
Outside players aside from left back have blinding pace and Rosebud is not that slow neither.
Dr Silva is quick, the two DM's seem quick for DM and the new striker seems quick.
Both CB's are quick by CB standard.
So we have a on balance very fast side.
We have in Baro and the two DM's along with De Silva highly technical players add new striker to the skill set.
The new DM's, Boro, the new Striker are all said to have high work rates.
Arguably only Hoole is not known and maybe Rosebud are not known for high work rates.
So we have a quick to fast side with a high work rates with 4 maybe 6 ball players.
Finally arguably Australia next best 10.
So how are we going to line up.
4 4 2
4 3 3
4 2 3 1
3 2 4 1
Fast to the wings, hit on break, counter attacking, attacking.
Best squad in ages

Have to agree with this post, all our striking eggs are effectively on the shoulders of one guy, as Bingaz still has so much to learn before he becomes a true threat. I would like to see us sign another 9 as true competition for Asdrubal and ideally someone with a known pedigree but hats off to the club for what they have done so far, which is very impressive. My worry at present is where we would be if Asdrubal was out for any period of time, as the demands of the A League can impact heavily on overseas players, particularly in their first season. We have a very strong midfield. Wow.

My sources tell me that Harry was told by PO that he was free to seek other opportunities, which is coachspeak for you're not part of my plans. Shame really as I don't think you can question the lad's loyalty and maybe being in the current playing environment would help him to improve to the required standard. When I listened to some of the games on Coast FM last season one of their biggest moans was we had no plan B.
Okon seemed to have a match plan and it was stuck too, no matter what. I'm thinking it was possibly due to the players he had available.
What's happened to Harry. Didn't he jet off for a trial with Bradford or someone?
