This has to be our best signing so far. So excited for this season. This will be a team we will all be proud of. I'm thinking we can easily make the top six and maybe even push top 3-4. Can't wait!!!

Such a vastly different team to last year. Tonnes of experience with a bunch of top youth that will be fighting to play and push each other. The team has some serious balance and depth for all positions.

Man, can't want to see what's going to happen.
Looking at that video - he looks like the sort of player who can turn an entire match with the perfect tackle at the right moment. In much the same way as Hutcho used to be able to, back in his earlier years with us. The right tackle can lift an entire team and he looks like he's got the commitment, skill and fire to do just that.
I seriously have absolutely no idea how he won half of those tackles!!

He's got some vision too. Okon as signed the aforementioned proverbial f***tonne of playmaking ability in the back end of the park.

Dibo asks how we would say 'girt' in French?

Je parle un peu francais (I speak a little French), but haven't any idea what 'girt' is in french. Translation software is notoriously unreliable, so I referred to my Collins Essential French Dictionary and Grammar - the English word 'girt' is not listed.

To give this some semblance of relevance to the thread, I'll state the bleeding obvious; which is that we now have a very European influence at the heart of the team. We have a very exciting season in front of us.

This has been such an impressive recruitment campaign by Paolo. He's picked up some real quality in the areas we desperately needed it without seemingly having to break the bank to do so. It's my belief that Arnie would not be able to do likewise. Arnie's a good recruiter, but he has champagne tastes, and couldn't quite cope with the beer budget of CCM.

I also like the fact that Paolo is building a team around a philosophy, and that philosophy is going to be exciting to watch. When you think back to the Moss and Warmsley era, well, their attempts of building a team are just laughable now.

Secondly - amazingly that's 2 quality international signings that came totally out of the blue, no rumours, no warm up just BAM here you go everyone.

Very impressed with the recruitment, significantly better than I would have expected even fairly recently. We have a very capable and exciting team with clearly capable and exciting coaching behind it.
Can't wait!

I think it will - with this base being able to break up play then play out so well (you'd expect) the forwards just have themselves to concentrate on. and it seems there's enough quality there to take advantage of that
