ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

"In Paulo we trust".
Seems like Paulo sees him as an unpolished diamond and reckons he can turn him into something special. And maybe that's the case - possibly hasn't had the right coaching/team so far.

Another cheap signing presumably.
Well look at kwabena . I never thought much of him . But last year he improved 150% . Maybe thats what palo can do with hoole

I'm still excited to see what he's got to offer. Often it's just being in the right team that makes a huge difference to a player.
He is definitely talented and definitely a Paulo player but is prone to a shit fit when things not young his way.
Failed miserably at SFC. Needs a little humble pie
But if we can fix his stage fright in front of goal then he could be a weapon.

Agree, he seems really keen to play under PO which is what you want. The Scummers had major issues in the last half of the season so I don't really put too much into the whole he's a dbag, he was no doubt frustrated with the team as they seemed to have the view of lets get rid of Jones. With SFC he became cannon fodder due to Arnie being forced to change his plan around youth development, SFC were not patient enough for the youth development path so they opened the cheque book up and last year a lot of good young talent barley made the squad. No doubt that is why Blackwood has now left, so from what I understand when he realised how little game time he would probably get he moved back to the Scum. So again I don't think Arnie sacked him nor can you blame him from moving back to get regular game time, that's why we got Pain and Galloway last season. I'm sure Arnie would have persisted with him had SFC not wanted instant results, on a bright note he now has some good A League experience and if PO can polish his rough edges he could be one of our signings of the season. Hasn't Roy and Hoole made the F3 derbies next year that little more interesting and no doubt both wanting to prove themselves to their ex employers. For the Stats people (dibo) have CCM and the Scum ever had two players move between clubs in the same off season? And it's wait and see if Kennedy is also added to the mix.

Like others I say give Hoole a chance first and foremost. Okon clearly knows what he's after and has recruited according to a plan.

Also - Hoole stuck it to the Scum while he was there. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I'm just being facetious. Essentially the argument goes that Mariners hate the scum. Hoole hated the scum even whilst being one. That's a true Mariner right there.

Just speaking to an employee of a client of mine who played with Blackwood as a kid... Blackwood wants to play for us and has let it be known this kid told me...

Shaun talking about Hoole signing and finished with best is yet to come. Not sure if it was a bit cheeky or for real. He did say nothing for a while though

This is great news! I have to admit to doubting Shaun when he tweeted "four announcements in four days", but he did exactly that with Hiariej, Baro, Golec and Hoole. Kudos to Paulo, Shaun and the team.

So I'm really excited to hear Shaun say that "...the biggest surprises are still to come." Can't wait!
