ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

"get something out of him"

Bollocks. He ran up and down in straight lines very very fast with no end product.

Same then as now that's why we punted him the 1st time

He's already scored one in the Yellow jersey. I think he may suprise with Tony guiding him.....that is Tony's strong suit....mentoring.

That's why we bought him I guess.

Some don't think he will be anything but others think he has potential.

Hit and TW is a genius, miss and it doesn't really matter.

For me it's more squad balance that make it a bad signing.

As for scoring already, he scored against the NPL2 kids that other NPL2 kids have been scoring against pretty regularly and by the sounds of it our squadies and trialist aren't much better.

When he scores against someone of note I'll pay him his dues

In all fairness I think we have strengthened our first XI with Necesvski, Faty, Tavares, Powell and Pain. We have re-signed Trent and have replaced some squaddies that didn't work out like Stella and Heffernan with players that 'have potential' like Berry, Adelson and Appian-Kubi.

I also would like another strong CB. Shane Cansdell-Sherriff may well have been the best fit but it seems that that is not an option at this stage. I never thought he was a long term option but with Rose getting older he would be an option at both LB and CB and has a heap of experience. TBH I feel that that spot may be being held for Luke Giverin when a visa spot becomes available. (Not that I think that is an appropriate use of a Visa spot).

You left out Fletcher as well, but still can't see any merit in your suggestion that Fab is on the way out though.

As it is, Kubbi is apparently only a 'short-term' contract:
Kubi will probably come on about 70 mins when Fab runs out of steam. His speed will scare hell out of a tiring defence.

I think Kubi will be ahead of Trent...
I actually doubt Trent will see much game time.
He was used sparingly despite players being injured/out of form and now we have better depth than we did last year!

Whether or not Kubi deserves to be ahead of Trent is a whole other debate

It will be

Pain (Fletcher) Roy (Powell/Bingham) Ferreira (Kubi)

And Trent will just be a last resort utility player (alongside the versatile left sided McDonald)

Trent is going to become a better player than Kubi and Fletcher, so I expect he will feature throughout the season.

I think a lot of us on here wondered when Bernie would consistently show the talent he seemed to have. Now he's showing it (or he was before he broke his leg). Let's hope KA moves in the same direction. We shouldn't forget he's played in a GF and also in an AFC campaign including a final, which is way more experience than most of our current squad (all players who've ever played for us in the case of the ACL final), so let's hope he'll come good for us. Let's not write him off until he shows us first-hand he's shit.

I'm looking forward to seeing fletcher after a good pre season. Was extremely under done last season, carrying a bit of weight too. My smoky for a productive year in the goals column

He was released as not good enough for us after being mentored by Fraudsley.
Actually Western Sydney headhunted him with Walmsley advising that he needed another year in the NYL. Considering nearly all of his appearances for the Wanderers came off the bench that year, that's a pretty fair assessment.

I heard that Fraudsley is responsible for the poor national employment figures and a major contributor to dry land salinity

f**ker gave me my third cold this winter too. Bastard.

The good news is that I wont gloat when he continues to perform the way he always has as a coach and I will gladly back pay for a membership when he gets punted upstairs.

I cant wait to go to our 2 NSW away games so that we can ignore this Huthwaite trained con man and focus on how outraged we are at:

a) Some of the chants being developed for Mr McKinna
b) Blake Powells on fire

:)
