ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Totally agree PJ and as for

A weak player would use the above for what it really is ...... an excuse for weakness.

Just because your teammates are shite or putting in a substandard effort is no cause for 'you - yourself' to do likewise.

Sometimes all it takes is for just one player to make - just one amazing effort in defense, 'to bust their balls' - to inspire the rest of his teammates to rise and emulate that effort.

I've seen it occur in games time and time again.
- It's more commonly known as 'leading by example'.

That's 'what' was missing from Fab and Mitch when those behind failed those that were in front & around them.

In my mind there's no excuse for that.
& the pair of them absolutely can't have another season of repeating it.

. which could actually end up with the opposite to what Wombat was saying (though I don't think this was the case) ... where the defenders could be thinking well if 'that lot' are going to 'give up defending' why should i 'bust my balls'

. but more accurately what it may have led to was an experienced backline being pulled out of position because they were being overwhelmed with no help from 'the front'

He's probably going there during the off-season to see family etc.

"I was told" is fast becoming the easiest way to start a rumour about player unrest at CCM. Is anyone ever going to name a source?

Simple answer is no.

I have sources... but I'm not dumb enough to name them. So, what do you suggest... I keep my information to myself? That would make for a pretty boring forum, don't you think?

Funny thing is I've got a decent source myself, someone who is friends with Arnie, Poppa, Hutch, Crawley and Moss. His info is often wrong I've found mainly because what goes on in the background changes pretty quickly sometimes
