126 players off contract around the league with run down of each team

Goal Keepers
Eugine Galekovic AU
John Hall AU
Michael Theo Roar
Thomas Sorensen City
Alastair Bray MV
Ben Kennedy Jets
Tomislav Arcaba Jets
Liam Reddy Glory
Glen Moss Nix

Any of those grab anyone's interest, might have missed a few young keepers that I don't know who they are

Also wonder if we would be interested in Shawbow from WSW. Little #10 who has been on WSW roster for at least 1 year and hasn't got a game. Think he is considered a danger man in youth. Might have a better chance here as a back up #10

I like Eugene, Bray, Theo and Sorensen from that list.

Roux was making noises the other day about how he wants to stay and he thinks exciting times are ahead. His final line of "Next season we will be even better and hopefully we can break into the top six" seems to be the target of someone not so sure about next season. The target next year needs to be higher than that. If we finish out of the six next season then I suspect many fans and members will find it unacceptable. Top 4 should be the minimum target next season. 5th or 6th next season may be tolerated as better than last season - but it is still short of where we should be aiming.

My concern is that we need to be locking in the people we want to keep now. Number 1, on the list is the manager. If Michael Charlesworth is happy with him then he should be locking him in now. If he is not signed there will be jobs available in the HAL next season (probably the Jets and Roar). If Michael Charlesworth doesn't want him the same applies, he needs to be looking for a replacement now and locking him in soon.

If I was Paul now, looking towards next season, but without a contract, I wouldn't be actively encouraging players I might want to sign now, when I might want them elsewhere. Similarly if I am a player that likes playing for Paul do I re-sign now when I don't know if he will be around.

Lock in the manager now and the decisions for the manager and the players then have some clarity.

No player wants a 1 year contract. They want mutiple years with bonus clauses and get out clauses if OS clubs come knocking.

All good, it happens. I figured you were on top of it anyway.
Of course he was.

If Kennedy is the answer, we are employing people who havent a clue what the question is.
Hot topic at Pluim yesterday. General consensus was:
Can we hate him straight away?
Who the f**k thinks the player who isn't able to get into their side is a viable signing.?

I think he is a good HAL level keeper. He was kept out by Covic who is a very good keeper. He was has been number one at Newcastle and has lost his spot a number of times through injury. Early on he was screwed over by GVE then Culina. His record is better than Reddy, Birighitti and Duncan, previous and current Newcastle keepers and is better than Ivan, Izzo and Redmayne current and previous CCM keepers. His record is below that of Maty and Danny but on a par with Vedran Janjetovic.

He looks like a solid HAL keeper. If he has been signed then the trick will be finding the second keeper. Do we stick with Ivan, look for a backup to Ben, look for a rival to Ben or look for a higher quality number 1. In spite of what his agent said I cannot imagine Okon promising anything except the opportunity to fight to be number 1.

just off an Achilles injury, no one uses the Achilles more than a keeper.
Hasn't been good enough for years at a team who hasn't made the finals for 7 straight years.

I tell you what he is - CHEAP!!

The bit about being guaranteed no 1 seems a bit of bull from the agent but if so, why would we guarantee something like that. Doesn't sound very Paulo.

We will have to wait and see, if he does well then great work, if not face palms all round.

Better have a shit hot back 4 so a keeper is just there to make up the numbers

Kennedy has barely played in 2 seasons, Birighitti kept him out for all but 2 games the year before and only one of those was as the starting keeper.

WTF was seen in him as the answer to our goal keeping problem.

I thought we would of learnt, but obviously not if true. Huge backward step and makes a joke of Shaun's "we must make the right recruitment decisions."

Hardly fills me with any confidence whatsoever.
