ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Squad - HAL 12 - 2016 - 2017

Looks like our old mate Sainsbury might be out of a job in China. They have just changed their visa rules. Each team can only have 5 foreign players in the squad but only 3 can play on game day. Lots of players will be on their way out.

We could do worse ;)

He should of been in Europe anyway

I'm pretty sure it was the same one because no one mentions it being one then the other - which is the kind of thing the press love - but I can't find any confirmation of that. Def his left knee this time.

Spacks, unless for some abnormality, there is no reason a player now can't recover fully and never experience another. I'm also unsure if the first was partial or what. Full reco this time. Plenty of athletes who have had them and go on without issue. And age is on his side.

Knew an athlete who did two - one knee after the other - left then right - he's never had another issue though.

Jakes probably just been horribly unlucky.
I get that, I really do but is it worth the risk paying someone a salary who's had a few issues with injury?

I believe this guy will become a fan favourite and an integral part of our squad combining with Trent on the right side. Because of his injury he will be cheap and I can only see a very small downside but enormous upside. Jake and Trent can terrorise Hal left sides for many years to come.

So does anyone know what's going on with Giancarlo Gallifuoco?
According to his profile on the Torquay site he last played on Boxing Day and was subbed off after 57 minutes.
No sign of him since. Does anyone know if he's injured?
He's on non contract terms which if I recall correctly means he can leave at any time.

At worst becomes a MacDonald or Fletcher.

Has potential, should he be in NPL to develop and get fitness, probably. If you see potential how do you keep that without losing him or have him available to others.

Tough call in which I don't think the club will be wrong either way

Aren't we only down three now though? Unless they're finally talking seriously about an injury replacement for Adelson as well...
Team is currently 21 including Jake as per Mariners website team list, which has already removed MacDonald and Fletcher.

So to get in four would mean losing 1 more, which would have to be someone who has played this year. Posco?

Max squad 23

We have 21 including Jake, so take out Jake we have 20 leaving 3 spots
Somebody is most likely on a NYL contract and don't count towards the max squad. You can have up to three players on NYL contracts so you can basically have a squad of 26.

Yeah I think that's valid too. Had such a weak squad for so long it wouldn't surprise me to see him culled by Okon. Which is why if they keep him, they must have a very high opinion of him.

Posco is hanging out with Storm and Rose at Terrigal about 5 metres from me. Could ask him :innocent:
