ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Payouts count against the cap.
I heard something along the lines of the players being released with 50% of the remainder of the contract paid out directly.
So assuming between them they were worth $350k and their contracts expired in May (this is complete guesswork!) we'd pay them out 50% of the value of the remaining 6 months and have $87.5k to offer one or more players for six months *just* to get back to zero.
If we weren't at 85%, then we've got work to do just to get to the floor now because it's at 90%! Maybe we've got a deal worked out somewhere for someone a little pricier...
Before people shit on the Moss 'state league signings' era completely, of our current first team squad Poscoliero, Ferreira and Sim were all Moss signings from the NSW NPL1.
Tricky's a handy player forced to bide his time, Poscoliero has shown his value and before the season's out I'm sure we'll all be glad to have Sim on the books as his versatility may well dig us out of a hole somewhere.
Meant Trifiro (and wrote about him on the next para...). My bad.Didn`t Fab come from Adelaide?
I know he played with Dulwich Hill in the Super League NPL2 but wasn`t aware he played in the NPL1.???
THE sense of farce enveloping the Mariners has continued after it emerged that Liam Reddy’s suspension by the club has been struck down by an independent arbiter – but Central Coast has now launched a Fair Work Australia investigation into his behaviour.
Hours after the Mariners asked players to provide phone records over an alleged leaking of tactics, the A-League’s independent arbiter has ruled that the club had acted incorrectly in suspending Reddy for two weeks, citing alleged breaches of his contract.
The arbiter ruled on the case even before a full hearing had been held, after the players’ union launched a complaint in the wake of Reddy’s suspension.
But now his behaviour is being investigated by Fair Work Australia, meaning the goalkeeper has to keep a specified distance from any individuals named in the club’s list of complaints against Reddy.
There is no defined timeframe for that investigation, with the player currently refusing to sign a severance deal with the club as he will not be allowed to register with another team until the transfer window opens in January.
He's currently training with the NYL squad.
I guess this IS a defensive signing... No Wilko, and I'm actually getting curious to see how Izzo develops, but still... A needeed space.
So Melbourne Victory are chasing Wilkinson, bummer.
