We might be interested but I doubt Walmsley is. He says he is happy with our midfield, is looking for a striker with aerial ability, and a centre half; only Ogmonster fits the job description from that list, but he should retire anyway.
Gamerio has pretty decent aerial ability doesn't he?

When I looked at the contract list Kev posted we have six players coming off contract next year ... so who we get is important beyond next year...

The Everton partnership he says with more hope than belief could be the answer especially if that is where TW is going for a while in the UK...

Also from 442 a young kid from Vietnam labelled the the Vietnamese Messie could be worth a look as well he seems to want an A-League gig...

As long as he stays on his feet when tackled! I see too many players from that part of the world fall over from a puff of wind.

Wilko would be excellent - we could actually do worse than Holman.
I reckon this league would suit Holman perfectly. I haven't seen him play for a while though but the Holman of 3 yrs ago would tear this competition apart.

He seems pretty fast and has a decent cross. Not sure what he will do when up against on A-League side though.

Great pace.
Great potential.
Definitely starting 11 in our current squad.
Needs to work on his finishing.
England has toughened him up and he can tackle.
Looks like a smart signing.

Griff would be brilliant, But is either Posco or Eddy good enough for starting 11? I would like another player of his quality to join him as our starting CBs.
The Asian kid Middy posted is superb. He looks like Joe Cole at the same age.
Sign him now...he helps us win the league and we sell him to Europe in 2 to 3 years for 10 mil.
No brainer for me.....at the very least get him here on a trial.
Wilko and Holman are really not that exciting for me.
Both solid pros but unless cheap they will be like Emerton and Niell.
Good players but over priced and over the hill.

Wilko is 30, not 32 +. That's not over the hill. Could easily be one of the HAL's top CB's for the next 2 years minimum I'd say. He's improved since he left us so as a player I think we'd be extremely lucky to have him and in terms of dressing room we know he brings enormous value as well... but can we afford him...? Hopefully Hutch will see him come home

Very happy with the new signings so far myself. Walmsley clearly has a plan. Fast attacking football. And he is looking for players that suit his plan. Cannot say the same for our last two years of recruitment. This is shaping up to be the fastest Mariners side we've ever seen. Caceres and Fabio may run riot this year in the extra space it will help create. Exciting stuff. Which is a welcome change... speaking of which... as was Walmsley's open letter!

Awesome stuff by the club. Been wanting this kind of communication since our first season. Best way to promote good will and close the sour rumour mills is through open communication. There's a lot to like about the last few months.

Now a marquee :shoutclap:
Sign Peter Crouch and oh what a year it could be :overheadl:

Blame the rumour mills not me :innocent:

But he's a 34 year old striker undoubtedly on good coin... and while still a good footballer, in truth more value as a marquee here at this stage of his career than as a striker there - might be happy to go and they might be happy to have him off the books.

https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/roy-o-donovan-sacked-last-club-pissing-off-131128518--spt.html

Roy O’Donovan was let go by his last club for pissing off the crown prince of Brunei

“What happened was that when I was out there one of the club’s drivers took a photo of me with George, someone put it up on their website that I had signed for them, and that was it for me, even though I hadn’t signed at all,” said O’Donovan.

“The crown prince of Brunei, who runs the club, had his nose out of joint and the contract offer was withdrawn. Since then George has been sacked by the club in Malaysia so it was clearly the right thing to do, not to go there in the first place.”

“There was nothing untoward about what I did, but because of the rivalry between the two clubs it was taken badly when the photo appeared of me on their website saying I was their new signing.”

O’Donovan has ruled out a return to Cork City and is currently weighing up offers from the US, Australia and India.
