ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

You really think they wouldn't have kept him if they believed there was any chance at all he'd become a goal scoring machine Wombat? I'd bet my house the reason they are releasing him, is precisely because they felt sure he wouldn't.

Come on mate, I know you liked him, it's nice to see a player who can strike a ball well, but that they were simply "not giving him a fair go" makes no sense. Dibo's right, if there's a f**k up it's almost certainly in signing him to begin with.

Like I said, you don't have to believe me, spoken with people who trained alongside with him and they did not rate him at all.

Trent hasn't made the squad for obvious reasons and WTF this has to do with "Hutcho equality" is beyond me lol.

Yeah i might have drawn a long and well lubricated bow:)

Just frustrated to have a natural goalscorer not playing.

Where do I line up to complain that a lot of Monty's passes are sideways or backwards when he moved to the deeper DM role? And that when McGing plays there he does it too? It's contagious! ;)

In one of the games Heff started (v Scum or Wanderers), he had a rebound chance early on, inside the 6-yard box, but hit it into the ground and the keeper collected easily. I reckon if he had scored that, we'd be having a very different conversation right now. It struck me at the time that he really needed that one.

Heff had his chance at HAL level and sadly hasn't produced on the training ground otherwise he'd be chosen ahead of Bingham whilst Roy is suspended. I've watched a small number of NYL games and sure he's scored goals there but he's big and physical so should be doing well at that level against inexperienced kids. IMO he's too slow, looks lazy and personally I'd prefer to promote our youth or get another more experienced player (which hopefully we've now got).

I hear you. But think the club has saved you the pain of changing your mind on this one.

Look who's in the background there. Mayhaps he came to his senses?

Maybe....we will never know.[/QUOTE]
We will actually - if he's a talent that we're missing out on, he'll get picked up by another club. If not, maybe the people who make their money making decisions like these are actually worth trusting once in a while.

Maybe it`s the influence of the assistant coach?
