ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Sweet. I'm only basing what I heard the commentators say during the game. They my have heard it wrong.Scratching my head...that's not exactly what I heard.
From what I remember Jets and Mariners were both mentioned and McBreen said he's leaving it up to his agents.
I could have misunderstood but that's the impression I got.
Just watched a bit of yesterdays game. Commentators were talking about how lean our striker stocks were and mentioned how in the pre game they interviewed McBreen and asked him about a possible return to the Mariners - he said his agent is working on it. Anyone watch the pre game show on fox to confirm this?
Exactly the sort of thing we should be doing, we'd get him on minimum wage and at the very least he would be good competition for Duke.If we are going to continue to go the cheap route in player recruitment I would like to see Matt Thurtell who plays for the Strikers get a trial
One up just isn't working but i guess it will depend on Matty been fit unless we can grab someone else. Dukey for me, is doing way too much work and must be exhausted by the time he gets a chance to shoot. Love his workrate but you wouldn't see Berisha, Janko, or Smeltz doing that.Since I started following the Mariners, we have only been big in the scoring department when we've had 2 up front: Sasho & Matty, Sasho & Aloisi, Macca & Matty, Macca & Duke (with Macca being the scorer & Duke being the nuisance value getting defenders away from Macca). Matty was scoring until Sasho fell out of favour then couldn't get anything on his own. Even Matty & Big Mac weren't abysmal. We don't seem to have the quality to play one up, so let's bite the bullet & play 2. We've got to try to put scoreboard pressure on our opponents; when they're trying to chase the game they make more mistakes, when we have to chase the game they can just sit back & take things easy like AU last Sunday.
apart from when we won the league playing one up front right?Since I started following the Mariners, we have only been big in the scoring department when we've had 2 up front: Sasho & Matty, Sasho & Aloisi, Macca & Matty, Macca & Duke (with Macca being the scorer & Duke being the nuisance value getting defenders away from Macca). Melbourne city are also after him so we'd have no chance anywayHe's earning nearly AUD4 million a season. If we're penny pinching over whether to play in Gosford, we're definitely not touching Cahill.

Cahill will do for me - that would bring the crowds to Bluetongue!
Will never happen, Sanitarium spend a lot of money on the socceroos and don't want to alienate fans that support other aleague clubsTie it in with an FFA help out and a Sanitarium 'Weet-Bix' promotion
