ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I would love to see us make a play for Wilkinson, even as Aussie marque. Use the Mane money and a couple of extra $. He would be a much needed injection of mariners pride, give us so much more confidence at the back and bring long term leadership. Fan favourite, his season is finished, must be close to ready to come home to terrigal! Home with the family for aussie summer, game time for Asian cup… Ill even shout him a beer at 6 strings

Give the current lads up the front a chance to shine, then if all else fails, flip Kim for a striker in Jan

Imo you probebly wouldn't need to have him as our aussie marquee surely he'd want to come back as a regular player & still be happy even if he was getting paid less:)

Wilko to steady the back and get him ready for the Asian cup, Danny back to score some goals and who can also double as a #10. :) Probably won't happen but a nice thought.

Noticed on A-League Extra on SBS that our player problems were discussed... meaning I guess a lot of folk must read this forum or the place leaks more than an APL private meeting... logic says it must be one of the new players kicking up a stink as we came third last year with largely this group of players under Phil Moss

We only have two new senior players in Mane and Vernes ... Vernes is only just 22 ... maybe Mane was akin to Travis a talented player but a player capable of getting on every-bodies nerves...

Bosnar and Kim were signed at a time last year we needed to shore up our strength and both last season helped us ... this year more questions are being asked and you get the feeling it is their last season with us and maybe Kim will be transferred if possible in Jan...

Goes to show when selecting senior players it is a very hard job ... the Roar are also at a lost to replace their gun players as well... hopefully Phil Moss will learn from this and be much more selective in the future.

CCM statement on Mane:

STATEMENT: Malick Mané

Malick Mané

Contrary to media reports, as of this morning Malick Mané has not been released from his loan agreement with Central Coast Mariners FC.
Mané requested a release late last week citing personal/family issues related to not settling in Australia.

After meetings with the player Central Coast Mariners FC are open to releasing Mané from his loan spell in Australia on compassionate grounds, but no paperwork has yet been finalised.

Central Coast Mariners FC strongly reject that Mané swore at his teammates during the half time break of Wednesday’s Westfield FFA Cup semi-final against Adelaide United, as has been reported by some media.

Mané did express his disappointment at being told of his impending substitution in the change rooms in Adelaide, but did not direct anything towards his teammates, the coaching staff, or club.

Should a mutual termination of Malick Mané’s loan agreement with Central Coast Mariners FC occur, the Club will update its members, fans and media.

Central Coast Mariners will support Malick Mané to the best of its abilities until his playing future is resolved – be that with the Club or elsewhere.

Just heard before kick off that Mane is with us for another month as gotenberg can't take him back as they are "full".

Can he buy himself out if he's desperate to go?
Otherwise, we're pretty screwed!?!

He probably could buy himself out of his loan, but unless another club was prepared to take him on he'd be going without pay until the end of the Swedish season - and with a kid to bring up in Senegal I can't imagine he'd want to do that.

We are very strange fans at CCM.

Mane was easily our Best player in our only win of the season against the Scum.

Now he is the scapegoat for why we are dire.

To put it into context.....he is probably shocked at how badly organised we are. He is also probably shocked to be asked to play as a lone centre forward.
He shouldn't have called his team mates shit even if it was true but I find it a little bit pathetic that we are turning our backs on him.
Used properly he would be a massive asset to us.

Wouldn't say he is the scapegoat Wombat. Like you say, he looked like a good loaner in the jets game but things haven't worked out and if he wants to go back to Europe or even Senegal, he will apparently have to wait another month or so. That isn't good for either party. Tbh, I'll be sad to see him go as I think he could have offered us a lot.

Just watched a bit of yesterdays game. Commentators were talking about how lean our striker stocks were and mentioned how in the pre game they interviewed McBreen and asked him about a possible return to the Mariners - he said his agent is working on it. Anyone watch the pre game show on fox to confirm this?
