ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I've updated the first post with the news of Simon and kwasnaldo, currently looking something like this...

--------------------------- Duke/Simon----------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fitzy/Kim/Slater ------ Kim/Trifiro/Cernak ------ Duke/Fitzy
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
------ Caceres/Hutch/L Rose ------- Monty/Kalik/Curren ------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
J Rose/sim/Neill ---- Bosnar/seip ---- Anderson ---- Roux/Morton
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------- Reddy ----------------------------------

By my reckoning we're still a keeper, centre back, central striker and a winger short of a picnic

That would make 27. I would send Neill back to the NYL for a year even if we need to pay him a min wage since he will not be getting game and will need to rebuild his fitness. Slater, Kalik and Rose can be outside the cap and not count towards the cap.

With the other squads strengthening and with some settled managers I think we have to up our game a level this year. The front third in particular needs to be stronger.

My additions in red

-------------------------------- Duke/Porta----------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fitzy/Slater ------------- Kim/Rose/Cernak ------ Ruka/Simon
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
------ Caceres/Hutch/Trifiro ------- Monty/Kalik/Curren ------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
J Rose/sim/Neill ---- Bosnar/seip ---- Anderson/Beauchamp ---- Roux/Morton
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------- Reddy/Tyson ----------------------------------

Went to update this with Wee-Mac and realised I had Duke in twice.

I honestly think Duke is not a wide mid .. he is better as a roaming 9 ... and Beauchamp in Hal 1 he was the best in the league but he is nowhere near the player he was ...

Richard Porta is certainly worth a look in his early 30's ... any idea how he plays ie a poacher / creator / hard worker etc...

As for Ruka yes yes and double yes ...

I would love to get Troisi on the Coast ... fark all chance but he is a player I love to watch...

Not the only one whose patience is being sorely tested, if the board are trying to destroy the club they are doing a admirable job..
SACK THE BOARD!!!!!!!!!!

You think maybe this is a problem with Phil Moss. My understanding is the players don't want to play for him and are looking for a way out. This also won't be the last.

Boy!!! I Hope Moss has some rely great signing up his sleeve because our midfield and forwards are now looking really lean.

Really should have kept Flores.

Hmm can't see why Moss would be the problem, seems very reasonable in his approach and during his time with Northern Spirit FC no visible problems with players etc, despite running on less of a budget than the Mariners.

Ok... I think I've been pretty restrained and patient, but WTF!?!? How were they even able to make him an offer!? Isn't that a breach of the A-league rules?
And wtf is going on at Tuggerah? Haven't seen a single signing announced FOR us, but our playing staff is being pillaged again...

Once that's said, there was that rumour about Duke and Moss, last season, but it still surprises me. I talked to a guy at work who reckoned he briefly coached Mossy in an earlier life (Guy's a Smurfs fan), he reckoned that Mossy was a really nice guy but probably not coaching material in terms of his tactical abilities.
Tbh, I reckon there's a fair chance the guy was talking out his backside, but thought it was still telling, that he didn't register personality as an issue.

I would give Mossy some credit for getting us to the end of the season in such a good position. Let's not forget he was given the ultimate 'hospital pass' of an appointment. A gutted squad, a club rocked by the sudden departure of key coaching personnel, etc. Now a youth system dumped for who knows what after a terrible NYL campaign.

Yes, he is obviously a nice guy. And nice guys usually end up last. But it is still early in the off-season. I'm hoping he can deal with the Club's 'sell, sell, sell' approach and assemble a useful squad for the HAL 14/15 campaign.

The optimist in me says we have some real talent rising through the Club's ranks that still need time to settle.

The pessimist in me sees all the HAL clubs (except us) tooling up for the new season with some excellent signings. The worst part is that the Scum to the north look to have changed from being worthy of ridicule to being a very strong outfit.
