ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I've read that while on loan he's off the books, and with the new additions to the club if he were to return earlier than Jan he wouldn't fit in under the cap anymore and the club is hoping to squeeze him in with the usual mid season fire sale!

It's a kiwi article written for a kiwi audience. Chill out guys.

But if we do release him then f**k me.

Wouldn't surprise though, we did loan him out at a time when he was our best player while we were struggling.

Highly unlikely he would go there.
He is as Kiwi as I am ...apart from 1 year difference.
They are shit....we love him.....why would he move?

Because the Mariners budgeted to not have him.
That said, we have since released Justin, Marcos, and set to release a couple more. Ergo, there SHOULD be room for Mikey and if not then heck why don't we just bump him up to marquee?

"I don't really know where that talk has come from, to be honest," McGlinchey said. "Maybe a couple of the boys have started that. Maybe one day I guess but I am contracted to two clubs at the moment so I can't really be talking too much about it."

Hardly a major re-buff - Basically while I'm contracted else where I can't be saying what I want. The old team mates started the rumor (after I told em).

Not sure who is hogging all the cash so we couldn't afford to keep him. Did we pay overs for Kim? Just got rid of Kwas & lost out on Ibini so can't be a salary cap thing.

In last 2 months he's now been linked with SFC & Welly - So not good signs.

McGlinchey was coy on the subject when speaking after the South Africa match.

Sheesh, the entire article is coy... It's all speculative language... Reads to me akin to some of the hopeful pieces around him going to Sydney, the author would clearly like to see WeeMac in Wellington, so he writes the piece in that direction.
For mine at least, it'd be silly for WeeMac to burn his bridges by saying something like "HELL NO! I'll never play in Wellington", first off it probably wouldn't be true, second off, why would you piss off the one club that might let him play at a higher level, in New Zealand one day, even when reaches the end of his career?

Sofar, I still most of this stuff as bored journos, frustrated that we're between seasons... Aren't the other clubs supposed to be getting our approval before even talking to a player that has more than six months left on his contract anyway?

Sometimes football rumours are just total made-up bullshit with no grounding in reality except some reporter's fantasy. You hear things about someone being linked to a move away from a club they've always wanted to join for big money like 3 months after joining. There's the no reality, that player isn't leaving, some reporters have overactive imaginations on slow news days or to fill space when talking about football.

Like, the Shitney rumour probably started because somebody joked "hah who next McGlinchey?" and people just ran with it. And the Wellington rumour is just some reported buffing up a piece about an All-Whites match.

Great news

Pinched from twitter @SocStoppageTime: Stealth can confirm the @ccmariners aren't waiting around and have re-signed Anthony Caceres, Storm Roux, Zac Anderson and Mitch Duke #SST
That's interesting; are these contract extensions? No sign of Griffiths?

McGlinchy was offered big contract by Wellington and asked for a release but was told no way. He was allowed to accept big money to go to China on understanding he would be back in Jan. Will be back Jan.
