ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Also up for grabs Anderson, Bosnar and Major, who is only contracted until the end of this season. That was an odd, short term signing imo.

Isaka Cernak gets a bit of a wrap from Seb. Hassett in today's SMH, deservedly so imho :
A-League: Five things we learned this week

4. Isaka Cernak might have finally found a home

The A-League's one-man magical mystery tour, Cernak might just have found a home for a bit longer than five minutes. He's played for six different clubs since 2010 (it would be quicker to list the clubs he hasn't played for) and each of them has been enticed by the prospect of getting the most from his quick feet. It's never really worked out for him anywhere but at Central Coast, he may just be proving his worth as a left-winger. With Fabio Ferreira on the right, they may be able to stretch teams with width.

With Matt Simon out for the season we should be able to get a short term replacement.
As Storrie is trying to re-connect with CCF & the community we should have a look at Joey Gibbs.
At 23 Gibbs has a bit of experience,is a local lad & has a point to prove.
He is currently playing with Blacktown City so getting a release shouldn`t be a problem.
With only 7 games to go it`s a cheap solution & a real opportunity to have a good look at him.

But we already have Major and Bingham. Why another inexperienced striker.

He's out for the season & with new direction for club he more than likely doesn't suit going into next year. Great servant over the years but it's the right decision for mine.

No one comes before the team. He had 12 great months over 2 seasons then left & wasn't the same. Let's see who they replace him with. We may be saying Matty who in 7 months. (or we may be necking ourselves)

Put it this way, we've (certainly I have) been calling for a real f**king striker for years. A true 9. Maybe we are getting one.

Tough call, but I wonder if there's either someone in the wings or a mismatch between expected salary and perceived contribution.
