Now I've made some assumptions cos the club refuses to release details on the transfer fees we received but from what I can gather we made at least $3.1 million last year.

What the Club gets in transfer fees depends on more than just the players supposed market value.
If the players contract has finished the Club gets no fee. Simple.
A player with a current contract may have a buyout clause in that contract. That will determine whaaat the Club gets in tf fees.
The length of contract the player is on would effect how much the tf fee is.
And then you have to take sell on clauses into consideration which may make the initial fee seem small.

It is impossible to determine how much the Club made in transfer fees in any given year unless the actual figures are released.

He is getting a lot of attention now. Part of me wonders if that's natural or if someone is pushing that angle behind the scenes. Would love to retain him but if his stock has risen too far we also need to know when to let him go..
