Does anyone know our current scholarship players signed for this year and going forward? I'd be keen to see what the whole squad looks like.

So 2 more signings? Another CB and another GK?

There's a lot of Academy players training in the A-league squad right now. I'm sure there are some looking to show they deserve a scholarship spot. I've heard maybe 6-8 places up for grabs,

I am struggling to remember any names but it has happened before during the Okon and/or Mulvey tenures, where players under contract have been sent to kick a ball around on their own at training every day in order to "encourage" them to seek out other options. Probably not an uncommon tactic in football generally when a player has become surplus to requirements with a way to go on his contract

Yeah that's pretty unpleasant, apologies to Donald didn't know about that. Mulvey was a muppet, his strategy backfired big time. Hoole probably fell into this category I guess.

Always hard to predict at the start of a season, we have some serious miles to travel in the first three rounds.

i would imagine any agent dealing with a player like Garang would encourage them to seek as many options as possible for their future, and international football at any level is sure to increase a players profile and worth

It'll be this for sure. Not saying he will represent one or the other but getting another passport provides options. You'd be mad not to.
