ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I think regardless of what happened with Bozanic we need to do better with how we treat players after they leave.

Oliver Bozanic was a tremendous captain for us, at the very least till the beginning of this season.

He joined us at possibly our lowest ever ebb. He was the foundation stone that Staj built his success. Success that four eminently qualified managers failed to get anywhere near. He deserves credit and respect for that no matter what has happened now.

I don't want to repeat hearsay because I literally do not know what happened in Oli's case. But no matter what occured he was a once great captain for us and contributed significantly to restoring this club

We have a tendency as fans to be hurt once a player leaves. This hurts especially when they go to direct rivals. That is natural and normal.

We spend years of our lives supporting these players emotionally and financially. Turning up every week no matter the result, paying memberships, chanting, signing, spending significant amounts of money to travel to away games.

But I don't think many players who leave, often not even to direct rivals, deserve the abuse they get.

At the end of the day, as much as we all wish it wasn't, football is a business and a job. Many players that play for us didn't dream of playing for the Mariners like we do. Many just see it as another job or a stepping stone to better things.

If someone's actions have hurt the club then absolutely they should be criticized. But that criticism should still be in view of what they have achieved for our great club.

We should remember, respect and honour players for what they have done and achieved, not how their final exit occurs.

Can’t wait to see more of Ruhs, don’t know why he didn’t get more game time at Methcarthur
It’s for that reason I’m not passing any judgement on him. If he comes with the right attitude he will get more opportunities and I hope both do well next season. Miller a larger hole to fill than Hatch but it’s good to see Aquilina also offers an option for both sides.

Kye officially gone. Well done to him, Scottish Prem is a good stepping stone into bigger things and he’ll suit it perfectly. Reading some stuff the Hearts manager has said about Kye and sounds like he’s going straight in to be a regular for them. Couldn’t be happier for him. Hope it’s a decent fee with sell ons etc

CCM didnt treat him badly at all, they were 100% by the book. He was the one out of line which is why the PFA didnt get involved. The club did nothing wrong.
True legends of the club are honoured. Hutch with his testemonial and I hope Simmo gets one too.
