Please on bended knees no Fitzy it sends so many wrong signals like, ""the more things change the more they remain the same.""

AS for JVS that would be good news if it comes off...

Wandrerers release Nick Fitzgerald. Don't like where this is going.

Better not. A midfielder who cannot be relied on to consistently score or assist is not what we need. Better work rate than Hoole and many others for that matter, but his decision making in the final third has never been HAL level. And 16 goals in 152 games is 2.8 goals per season. For an attacking mid that is only half at best of what any top 6 HAL side need.

Better off promoting talented youth. They can come on and run round around with lots of enthusiasm and score every blue moon too, but at least may turn into something better and even mean a good transfer fee.

Fitzy is not what we need and I agree with Middy would send the wrong signal.

Fitz did well a couple years back at City when he was only used as an impact sub.
He cut in a lot and made himself dangerous.

Much like Matt Simon would be a useful bench player but no more.

He was fed by much better players and was afforded more space as defenders had to worry about quality strikers making good runs more than him.

And that said still only scored just over a goal every ten games and was wisely released.

We can do worse than fitzy coming back. He was used as an impact player at city for abit then showed some very good form and had a long run as a regular.
Yes many people have a sour taste from when he left and how he left but beggars can’t be choosers to be absolutely honest.
If it’s between fitzy and majok, I choose fitzy.

Fitzy v Majok.....I agree Fitzy but I don't really want either. (But both are ok ish)

Having said that Fitzy's mum is very, very nice and Majok's mum....Im tipping, would be the stuff of nightmares. Or is that too mean spirited?

Seriously, how would that fat cry baby be better for us? He couldnt get a kick at the team that was 9th and the fact that we were in for him shows how f**ked up our recruitment is.
That Lawrie gave him 2 years is hilarious - next derby we have 2 of the c**ts to abuse (fat boy and Millar)

Not sure where you’re going with that but unless I’m missing something obvious that’s bordering on a pretty inappropriate and unfair thing to say.

Nothing wrong with being in for someone average, lots of players are rubbish at one price but acceptable depth, squaddies or gambles at another. The fact we’ve missed out rather than over paid / over committed could actually say good things about our recruiting this time round.

Why is it those reddit links don't work?

someone has posted a translation from the AGF news.

Zach Duncan comes to Aarhus from the Australian club Marconi Stallions, where he also entered his children's shoes. In the past season, however, he played for Brisbane Roar, where in the spring he got his debut in the best Australian league, A-League.

It's actually a fairly accurate translation, it's a specific turn of phrase they used there... it's a bit old fashioned but then they're a bit slow over there.

Famous for stuffing his face and training badly - bloke is a pie eating wage thief

Looks pretty trim to me....
I understand we all have the players we each completely and utterly hate.
But Fitzy isn’t a wage thief. He has a couple premierships and championships that he contributed toward. And has been a sought after player until now, in his later 20’s. The hooles and Austin’s of this world are the wage thief’s. YES, Fitzy showed a pea heart when things started getting real tough here and ran for the Melbourne hill and that was f**ked. But don’t forget he was part of our golden young boys who we should all forever have soft spots for. Because let’s be f**king honest, it’s more likely that this club will never see a group of 5-6 excellent youth boys of the same class go into a senior squad and excell pretty rapidly. Fitzy and Caceres are just the 2 who we’re all disappointed in. Probably the unpopular opinion, but hey, that’s why this forum exists.
I’m not disappointed though, that Fitzy didn’t come here. Would’ve been okay with it although I do understand the wrong message would’ve been sent to the general fan.

I don't think there was ever any confirmation we were in the market for him. Was just speculation on here really
